Hotel Lintas Plaza — Hotel in Borneo

I'm glad a friend told me about this hotel. For just RM98/night, we got a Superior Queen room. I'm not sure if that's just a promo rate, we're just happy we made early reservations because the hotel was full. Another plus thing is, no deposit was needed to reserve a room. Our room is spacious, good bed and had a nice bathroom. The staff was nice and very helpful. The hotel is located in a commercial complex so there's no problem looking for a place to eat. There's also a minimart and a clinic in front of the hotel open 24 hrs. There's a Maybank ATM across the main street if you need to withdraw money. The trendy hangouts Yoyo Cafe and Upperstar are both along the same street as the hotel. However, because it's located in Lintas Plaza which is about 10mins away from the city center, the only drawback for us in staying here is we needed to get a cab or "teksi" in local language everytime we wanted to go out to explore the city. It's not a problem getting one because the hotel would call a cab for us but it's something to considr in your budget if planning to stay here. The taxi fare was RM20-25 each way to the city center. Had three nights stay in this hotel for some medical treatment at nearby clinic. ||Pros:|1. Front desk staffs are super helpful and attentive especially a lady there who is in charged of the morning shift.|2. Reasonably clean as a budget hotel.|3. Abundance of restaurants,cafes and bakery nearby.|4. Watsons and mini markets are within walking distance.|5. Quick response to their faulty facilities eg. When dealing with hot water supply problem.|6. Room with decent space.|7. Room rate is reasonable.||Cons:||1. No lift.|2. Rooms are not sound proof. There were some kids running up and down making noice. Can hear karaoke while sleeping.|3. Dust under the bed. Hope housekeeping can at least do some cleaning around underbed. Noticed the dust when I accidentedly slipped my sandals off underbed.|4. Bathroom with only head shower but no handheld shower head. Not suitable for people who want to have dry head during shower. This hotel is located between shop lot. You can easily find restaurant, 24hr convenience shop, a few pharmacy, banks, entertainment surround. I can easily find food early in morning, unlike Citymall where I have to wait until 9am. The room is clean and furniture is in good shape. There is one refrigerator. But the power is auto off when leave room. The shower is super strong. It is first time I experience with the high water pressure. However, there is no lift in hotel. No locker in room.
