So many reviews. It is just a trend? I decided to check it out. Holy cow! This place is great for real. The food, service and atmosphere is excellent. If you’re in KK, you’ll want to come here for a relaxing slow breakfast with comfy vibes. Expect the price to be upper mid range but it’s worth it. The sum is greater than its parts. Notable things to eat, the omega half boil eggs, the salts egg croissant, the tuna cheese melt, the nasi lemak biasa, butter kaya toast is good to order. The emperor noodles are so so. Service is wonderful. Staff are all very friendly and professional. They care about the ambiance and so cleanliness is top. I saw them cleaning up very detailed before next customer took the table. Very family friendly and good for those who like extra clean places with higher level service.

1st visit at Sutera Avenue. All the while ordered from Gaya’s branch via GF. Open and closed air-conditioned space available for dine in. With adequate spacing in between seats. Public toilets are nearby, on same row. Has no smoking sign on the premise. However, noticed some customers smoke just next to the premise. Might be uncomfortable for some dine-in customers at open space. Highlights: Foods are delicious as well as the drinks. Perfect combination of meal and ambiance. Staffs has excellent attitudes. Satisfying service. This premise was well-kept and clean. Can be packed during peak hours. Paying basement parkings are available. Recommended!

Worst food and customer service. Unhygienic, lacking of customer care. I've purchased nasi lemak curry ayam today via grab service but there was a foreign substance ( worm ) on my nasi lemak. I've had eaten it and had diarrhea stomachache. I work as a doctor, I went to work empty stomach and due to this issue I had to have my toilet break at work every half and hour. Such a stressful day to start my work . The manager of the shop nadiah dialed me up and agreed for compensation of food and to be delivered at 5pm today. But even after that, there were no followup, no initiative regarding the compensation or even an empathy that they're customer has not eaten the whole day. I had to ask them and the answer was they're out of the food I've requested. Worst worst worst

Relatively new local coffeeshop offering an array of both local and Western delicacies like Nasi lemak, toasts w Kaya and butter, croissants, noodles and pasta. Had the Hainanese chicken chop and despite it being okay it didn't reflect too much authenticity, but appreciate that real potato wedges were used instead of fries. Roti kahwin (butter and Kaya toasts) are not too bad. Nasi lemak rendang chicken could use less sweetness and more fragrance. Savoury dishes seem to be a lil pricey for its taste and portion. Coffeeshop is otherwise clean and nice, oozing a bit of yesteryear vibe, with surprisingly good service (especially Nadia). Unfortunately, plastic straws are still offered here. Free WiFi is pretty good. Basement parking rm1/hour.

Ordered Nasi Lemak and Cham, and both tasted surprisingly good. Pricing is reasonable too for the setting and location. I did not order any toast or bread, but looking at other tables, I bet they taste good too :) Friendly serving team too. Would recommend. *Update. The staff saw my Google Review while I was still there and gave me a voucher for a free White Coffee. More reasons to like this place! ;) **Another Update: Came back 6 months later in 2023, I can safely say Guan’s is my favorite modern Kopitiam in Malaysia. Absolutely delicious Nasi Lemak and toast, rich coffee/Cham, sweetest staff and comfortable place to enjoy a good meal.

Guan's Kopitiam at Sutera Avenue offers a clear menu with a range of authentic Malaysian dishes, making it a solid choice for those seeking local flavors. The food, including the nasi lemak, met expectations, though the waiting time was slightly longer than anticipated. A point of concern is the timing of service—my hot drink arrived well before the food, and by the time the nasi lemak was served 10 minutes later, the drink had turned cold. Additionally, cleanliness could be improved to enhance the overall dining experience. Despite these minor setbacks, Guan's Kopitiam delivers a taste of Malaysia that is worth trying.
