Inconsistent Experience at Grill Fish Restaurant: From Delightful to Disappointing. I recently had the opportunity to dine at Grill Fish Restaurant on three separate occasions, each visit leaving me with a vastly different impression. From exemplary service and mouthwatering grilled fish to baffling menu choices and disappointing encounters, my experiences ranged from delightful to disheartening.

During my initial visit, I was thoroughly impressed. The service was prompt, and the grilled fish served was nothing short of delicious. It was evident that the staff was attentive and committed to providing an enjoyable dining experience. The ambiance added to the overall satisfaction, making it a memorable meal.

However, my second visit left me bewildered. The grilled fish, which had been the highlight previously, tasted peculiar, resembling an unconventional dish probably "ambuyat ikan 3 rasa." This unexpected deviation from their usual offerings was disappointing and did not align with my expectations of a grill fish restaurant. It felt like a bizarre experiment rather than a well-thought-out addition to the menu.

Regrettably, my third visit was the most frustrating. Not only was the grilled fish subpar once again, but the service had deteriorated significantly. Orders were taken incorrectly, leading to unnecessary delays and confusion. Despite the apparent presence of numerous staff members, their competence and willingness to assist customers were lacking. Additionally, the hygiene standards fell short of expectations, further diminishing the overall experience.

In conclusion, Grill Fish Restaurant's inconsistency in both food quality and service is concerning. While my initial visit was enjoyable, subsequent experiences have been marked by disappointment and frustration. It is evident that there are significant management issues that need to be addressed promptly. For the restaurant to regain its former appeal and reputation, a concerted effort towards maintaining food quality, improving service standards, and ensuring proper management is imperative. I look forward to witnessing positive changes and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to revisit Grill Fish Restaurant with renewed confidence in its ability to deliver an enjoyable culinary experience...Support local...

Visited this place with my parents, 3 adults. We had ikan bakar (M), sotong bakar (M) and udang buginese (S). The portion comes in size as in S, M and L, and the sizing is not based on gram but on serving instead. The cashier told me that S size may suit 2-3 pax, but for us it is quite a lot! They also have portion for 1 that is complete with rice, I should have chosen that since the portion is quite big too.

Tastewise is ok, nothing fancy and the price is quite steep. No variety of fish since there is only ikan putih that u can choose. The pes ikan bakar is ok, I like the sambal and sambal kicap that comes with the ikan bakar. The sotong bakar is quite hard to chew, maybe because it is big and slightly overcook. The udang buginese is actually udang masak butter, nothing fancy on that and the udang is not that fresh too.

Service wise should be improved especially at the front counter, the cashier keeps on scrolling tiktok while taking orders, and doesnt even assist when the person in front of me is having difficulties with payment. (There are 2 counters, since the person in front is taking too long with payment, the other cashier should have assist me to her counter, but nope, luckily I realised that her counter has no customer atm. Owner/Manager should do something as this brings the image of your restaurant)

Payment is via cash/qr code or bank transfer and order should be made at the front counter. Waiting time is...

Had our late lunch here after island hopping. Heard some not so good review, e.g the food comes late. We ignore, as we want to try.

Totally hungry, we ordered 3 main dishes, Pari Bakar, Kailan Ikan Masin, Sotong Sambal Bugis. All in S saiz, total of RM80 inc of drinks. Payment in cash (need to improve with cashless option). We order around 3.10pm, and we get the foods around 20 mins later (not too many customers). Was surprised when the food arrive, as the S portion is actually big, can feed 3-4 people at a time. And the foods are all good! We are really satisfied with our foods, would love to come again if we ever come to KK again. Since the foods portion too big, we ended up tapau some food.

Something to improve, the cashier should be more nice and friendly. You're not a robot who didnot know how to smile and be friendly with the customers. A smile can change the mood. Why do you show your unfriendly expression? The customers didnt come to eat without paying. I believe it is one of the service, and you should know, some people will not to come again because of the service even the foods are all good.

Other thing, it is better to use Waze to come here. If you use Maps, you'll arrive at the main road. Use waze, and it'll bring you to the car park of the...

Let's take this very seriously; the portion is HUGE. They have fixed prices for everything which is a good thing and a bad thing. Good thing is: you can have a large group and still pay for the same price regardless of weight. Bad thing is: you come as a couple and pay that much! Small prawn/fish/sotong/ayam is RM 38 for 2-3 pax. Small sayur is RM 12 for 2-3 pax. And guess what? The size is huge!! It's as though 4-5 people can have a go at it. So if you want to come here, COME IN A GROUP! A lot of parking, don't worry. We ordered the ikan putih bakar and kangkung. We'd like to try more things but the portion is too big, plus there were just the 2 of us so not gonna spend RM 100 for just 2 people. We came before maghrib but after maghrib the restaurant was full, no tables. Full. As for the taste, I think I prefer elsewhere, a little salty, fish is fresh but nothing really special. but I'd bring people here since the size is worth the price IF we come in a group.

🍽️ Pricey But So Worth It – Family-Approved, Belly-Confirmed 💯 Okay listen up — The food here is a bit on the pricey side, BUT the taste?? Wahhh sedap gila I tell you 😭👌 It’s the kind of meal that makes you go, “Hmm expensive ah… but nevermind, tapau balik semua!” 😂 We came with family, and everyone enjoyed it — even the picky eaters were nodding like food critics 😎 The place has lots of tables, but yeah, a bit packed ‘cause ramai orang makan sini — so you know it’s legit 😏 Seriously, if you’re planning to bring your family out for makan-makan, highly recommend this place. You’ll go home full, happy, and carrying leftovers like treasure. 🥹💛 ⸻ 💬 Short Caption: Food: 10/10 Price: 💸 but worth it Crowd: ramai but vibes 🔥 Would I return? YES. With containers. 😂🍱 ⸻ “Little bit pricey, but when your taste buds are partying, your wallet will forgive you later.” 😆💃
