Imago Shopping Mall — Attraction in Borneo

One of the best malls I have seen all over the world in terms of food, shopping, variety, beauty, and entertainment, but it must improve its customer care services at the entrance. I did most of my shopping here. The artificial bangles, necklaces, and other jewelries I purchased here were too artistic and magnificent. I found the staff in every store to be helpful and friendly.

However, I felt the mall's customer care section was neither organized nor helpful. My driver informed me late in the evening that he can't come to pick me as he had to go to a hospital to attend to one of his family members who was seriously ill. He advised me to take the help of the mall staff and book a taxi back to the hotel. The mall staff at the entrance told me that the taxi would come in 15 minutes but later informed me that no one was willing to go to the 1 Borneo Mall area. The staff did not bother to offer any help in any way despite knowing my condition as a foreigner. It jolted me as I thought of getting stranded in the mall throughout the night. My phone didn't allow me to download the Malaysian app to book a taxi. I requested some local shoppers around in the mall to book a taxi on their phone, but none came to my rescue. It was 10.30 pm and I lost all hope. Finally, some workers of the mall who were returning to their home outside understood my plight and booked a taxi using their phone. They waited for the taxi to come to the pick up area and told me how much ringgit I will have to pay to the taxi driver after reaching the destination. Have a look at the picture of their phone used to book the taxi. They made me realize that workers not just build a nation but help people in distress. I saw kindness and compassion ❤️ that night in abundance. Not just that. I saw them fearless...

As a Sabahan if you ask me where is the best place to shop in KK, I would straight up say Imago Shopping Mall... 🤭 The mall is so big until I actually got lost trying to find the toilet seja HAHAHHA... Ikut tu tanda pn nda jmpa mana tandas ah 😭😭 I walked around then only I realized I passed the same shop twice.... Danggg 🤣

But honestly, it's such a nice place to hang out la... Got all kinds of shops..from branded stuff to local ones. If you just want to window shopping pun, syok already. The layout is neat, clean and aircond is super cold. The lighting there also nice ( perfect for OOTD eheksss.. ) . My friend even said, “Eh, this place feels like overseas,” padahal we’re just in Sabah. 😆

And if you're hungry, no worries. Got lots of food places. From McDonald's, KFC, to fancier ones like Nando’s, Sushi King, and Seoul Garden. If you're a coffee lover like me, Starbucks and other cafe also there. Sometimes I don’t even shop..just chill with my coffee and people-watch. Very relaxing, bah🥰

Another cool thing is they always have events or small exhibitions in the centre area. Sometimes there’s a bazaar, sometimes performances. My nieces and nephews love the place too, especially the play area for kids.

Only one tip from me, remember where you parked your car. I once spent almost one hour looking for mine because I forgot which entrance I used. 😅 Lesson learned.

So yeah, if you ever visit KK, don’t miss Imago. Super worth it. Go once, sure want to go again. Shopping, makan, lepak. all in one place....
