Kedai Kopi Hoe Kee — Restaurant in Sabah

The uncle only starts cutting and serving at 11:30am sharp. Of course, you can line up earlier if you wish. Today I arrived at 11:28am, there were about 6-7 people in front of me. I waited for 20 mins and got my food (ta pao). RM15 for cha sao & sau rou rice (ga liao). But I feel the meat portion for Ga Liao is not that much. Looks like normal portion to me. Or maybe they gave me wrongly?

The shop is very small, got 6 small tables inside for those who want to dine in.

The food is alright, not as good as I remember it to be...

I went here after seeing so many reviews and always long queue when pass by during lunch hours.

I've ordered mix BBQ and roasted pork. I think the roasted pork is quite standard but the BBQ pork is nice because the BBQ flavour is quite strong which I personally like it.

Overall is quite salty and shouldn't have poured all the sauce, haha.

If you want to buy (only takeaways), please be there early...

Overrated if you’re used to HK-style crispy roast pork belly, but it was flavoursome though. Charsiew, roast chicken and rice are so-so. Watery, 2-dimensional spicy chilli.

But if you must, just grab a seat first then order instead of getting in line for a high dose of UV rays and public toilet smells — that’s for takeaways. Nice staff alleviated some...
