We’ve always come to this place for their risotto. Haven’t been here for a while but the place looks just the same like many years ago.
We ordered a cream sauce risotto. Not too overpowering. Risotto was Al dente but the chicken in it was over cooked and had a frozen smell. We prefer our regular risotto primavera which is vegetarian based.
The fettuccine is tomato cream sauce - the sauce was amazing. The pasta was a little over cooked, too soft and you can see that the pasta was broken into smaller pieces. The salmon also had a slight fishy smell. Wished they could have seasoned the salmon a little prior to cooking.
We also ordered a four cheese pizza. The cheese was lovely. But we find the crust too underwhelming. It’s thin and crispy. Won’t make you feel stuffed up but we would expect more for a pizza at this price point.
Tiramisu - personally the best one in kuching. Or rather more authentic one. As the mascaporne cheese was thick and dense. Not too creamy. Only that the coffee layer was too thin. But overall we still love...
Read moreHad Hawaiian Pizza at this place and the taste is alright - if you like the none sweet tomato sweet with non overpowering flavours. The crust was crunchy and pizza is thin with generous amounts of topping. Size was just nice for 2 pax - provided you ordered another main or appetisers.
Ordered their penne lamb as well which was served rather quick (food arrived within 5 mins of ordering). The lamb was very very tender and melts in your mouth with penne fully coated with creamy sauce. It had a light seasoning to which with just the right amount of cream/cheese. Its the kind of sauce which will not make you "jelak" after eating it for a while.
The tiramisu was alright although I'd prefer the coffee taste to be stronger and removed the strawberry jam (this is just me being picky). But all in all, it was a good Italian place.
During the visit, the place is rather hot so that's something the owner may want to relook into.
P/S : Forgot to take photo of the pizza and pasta since...
Read moreWe tried this Italian restaurant due to the large number of positive reviews. I am writing this so others are not misled like me.
We ordered 3 starters, 4 mains, 3 desserts and 5 drinks. Our bill was approximately RM250.
Many says the food is authentic Italian. This is very far from the truth.
The pasta was overcooked and drenched in sauce. The carbonara used ACTUAL CREAM and was flooding with it. Personally I did like the spice in some of the dishes marked "spicy", but beware that this is spicier than what it would be like in Italy. By far the worst dish was the panna cotta, extremely gelatinous and covered in COFFEE syrup??? It wasn't even white, more... grey.
If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is not it. If you are not fussy and are ok with overpriced subpar food, you may be okay with this place.
I would not visit again or recommend to anyone looking for...
