Swan Teem Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Borneo

Brought my parents and little niece to this restaurant on Dec 16th, 2022 for dinner. No one greeted at the entrance. The restaurant looked almost empty. After we entered and sat down, few more customers started to come in. I guess we are the charms. LOL. We ordered Thai style steamed fish, butter prawns, kamheong crabs, mantao, foochow noodle, sweet corn crab soup, vegetable soup, midin (local vege) and watermelon (cut fruits). After waiting for quite some time, the final dish, crabs were served but was not prepared as per order. It was cooked differently like sweet & sour dish. We asked for replacement. The restaurant owner asked us if we are sure and said the crabs are very expensive RM160/kg (that’s very disrespectful to us and offending). Even the lady who took our order at first kept saying crabs are expensive and asked we if we are sure to order (FYI, your crab cost is not expensive compared to other restaurants we’ve been to, plus, the crab quality is terrible at your restaurant). It took quite a while for the crab dish to be ready. So we decided to leave and ask the restaurant to pack the crabs. Upon checking, the crabs were actually washed by the restaurant and re-cooked. Unethical and disgusting. This would be the first and final review. We wish this restaurant to apologise for such unethical behaviour and being disrespectful in their speech and behaviour towards us. We paid the bills in full and did not ask for a discount despite the poor food quality and its service. To the restaurant owner, never ever look down on customers. Watch your language and learn how to speak with manners. Customers are not beggars. You shall serve customers politely and make they feel welcomed as they are the source of...

This is for anyone who wanna try their bbq steamboat. Prepare to be amazed.

Served soured meat. Discussed with the lady owner, but they just said it might not suit our taste bud. But we as customers still pretty sure it's gotten bad after cooking and eating it. My friends and I were cautious of choosing meat after that, we then tried to pick the meat up but the lady boss stared at us 🙂 We gave up eating any meat after and wanna leave just after 15 minutes of arrival.

Besides serving soured meat, vege is covered with flies. Not so hygienic. Oil debris everywhere. Toilet is not comfortable either.

My friends and I had black teeth after eating (my first time eating steamboat till coloured black teeth). We're sure it's the grill pan, as our group is large so we used two grill pan. Half of us have black teeth while half of us doesn't. I'm not sure whether the pan is cleaned properly or not. But judging by this, the pan is unclean and we're eating the chemicals of the pan. 🙂 Legit makes me wanna puke.

Employee ignored us twice deliberately when we needed help. When our eyes met, he purposely ignored us. He helped other tables but asked us to help ourselves. 🙂 Such hospitality.

Choice of meat is much, price so-so la. But still, soured meat and ignorance of the employees and employer stopped me from visiting again.

Lastly. Huge ice cream chiller but you only have 2 buckets of ice cream to choose from 🙂

I'm not sorry for my review. Being honest...

I ordered Mango fish and the source was cold made a complaint to the lady boss and she say that it's probably sit too long at the counter. So we ask her to try it herself and she admitted that it's was cold and replace the fish with a new 1. Well² guess what the next dish was kung pao frog leg too spicy "I never know Kung pao use Chilli PADI not dry chilli ah boss?" too much black paper.... Next time u dinning at this restaurant make sure u don't make any complaint even if food is uncooked or you'll never know what the 'chef' gonna add to Ur food. Will never ever go to this restaurant. No wonder The Venue was full and Ur restaurant kinda of empty and there was no other choice of...
