Go Fun Kee Bak Kut Teh — Restaurant in Sarawak

I don't usually write reviews but I felt I have to this time. Went for dinner after a long hiatus of Go Fun Kee bak kut teh. Always enjoy items I ordered until last week. So, so disappointed. Dry bak kut teh, which I've ordered numerous time from other locations were always yummy, but sadly, this was my worst! Wait time for dry bak kut teh was close to 27-29mins. My dad had already finished his bak kut teh soup by then(wait was 15mins) Aside from a long wait and servers ignored and did not get back to me on queries, the food served is too BURNT!!! Wasted any tasty sauce that should coat the ribs and ribs were absolutely dried!!! That's not how dry bak kut teh should be served. Taste is horrible. (Refer photos for reference) What a waste of wait time. No response from the lady boss, not even care to aknowledge or compensate. No concern for customer satisfaction. Poor PR. This 3rd mile branch offer better service than the eastmore branch . Worker are more polite and friendly . The Eastmore branch offer big bones to customer . Bones which are without skin or meat that attached onto the bone . When I tell them that they shouldn’t give us the bones though bones is use to enhance the flavor of the soup but it shouldn’t be serve to customer . It shows bad attitude of the way they serve customer . But it seems they don’t bother even when I talk to the supervisor. I never dare to go back to that eastmore branch anymore . I guess they treat customer like dogs who eat bones . Thier attitude was not good too. When I tell them about my choice of preference they ignore . Unlike the 3rd mile branch they very polite and ask about our opinion of the food we eat. Maybe eastmore branch is having more customer that’s why they couldn’t be bother about...

This is the famous local Chinese Bak Kut Teh chain with a lot branches in Kuching. I came here because of a good experience at another branch. Apart from the signature dry and soup Bak Kut Teh, there are curry fish head, clay pot dishes, and vegetable / cold dishes available in their menu.

I visited during dinner time, customer flow is high, but serving time is shorter than the branch that I visited before. Also, the services is very nice, server are attentive & informative.
