Clarification: This review is for "佳一碗" kolo mee & laksa stall.
This place came highly recommended by one of the popular foodie groups on FB (Borneo Food Hunter). Frankly, it didn't disappoint. They ONLY operate from 5pm to 11pm. Close on Wednesday. Only certain days have laska. Refer to my photo of the stall for more info.
They have 2 additional dipping sauces that's unique. Yadda (related to the cook) explained that there are only 1 other place that has similar sauces. She took care of all my requests. We ordered the Kolo Mee with red sauce and the silver needle rice noodles, or we called it 老鼠粉 - loosely translated as "mouse noodles" due its longated and pointed ends, with side of soup.
The kolo mee was flavorful, and noodles were springy (the only wish i have is the red sauce is sweeter). Yadda did inforned me about that. The rice noodles with ninces port and char siew was delish, and the huge side soup was savory and full of aroma of fried shallots.
Will be back to try...

They serve the Chinese wine separately with it, but that gives a quite different taste then when this is in the preparation. Did not fancy the dish and found it more expensive than elsewhere. Our favoirites are going there in the evening just for some snacks. The plain naan has a good warm sauce. The cheese naan is really cheesy. Not to mention the cheese banana. All these portions are big and can be shared. Then the Western food stall has cheese strings which reminds me of belgian cheese croquettes (although not exactly the same). Love them anyhow. These snacks...
Read moreClean premise and comfortable. Pretty quite when I come, maybe I should come at different time for more lively vibe. I ordered Phat Lung Chicken Rice for RM7 (Thai Chicken Special stall) and Egg with Ginger Soup for RM8 (Soon Seafood & Fast Food). I really love the 'sambal cili' of the chicken rice, spicy but in a good way. The chicken meat not dry, the rice slightly salty. I like the aroma of the soup, u can taste the cooking wine, goes well with the ginger and egg. Overall,...
