I.P.H Roasted Cafe 怡保燒臘 — Restaurant in Sarawak

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Sekama! First time here and I must say they do live up to their good reputation of being one of the best place that serves roasted pork; also ducks and chicken. Their golden crispy pork belly with juicy flesh and salty crust is phenomenal! Paired together with their hearty kolo mee tossed into their secret sauce and a sip of their flavourful bone soup melts the soul. They even had a cute robot server to deliver food table-to-table, which I believed is the very first kopitiam in Kuching to do so; everyone was so dumbfounded and had a fun experience with the robot 🤭

P/s: if you're a first timer, find a seat first, order their everything roasted at the cashier and pay in advance, soup is self service at the very back (bowls provided). And just wait food to arrive at...

I would say this is the best place for roasted pork, chicken and duck. You can go for rice or noodles.

What you have to do is to place your order right next to the wonderful display of all the roasted meat hanging there. If you just sit on the table and expecting waiter or waitress to take your order, then sorry, it doesn't work that way. This include drinks as well.

Another wonderful thing about this shop is the super dark coffee which only sold in west Malaysia. Kuching's coffee is not dark and thick like black ink. That is the reason why west Malaysian is not used to the coffee in sarawak. So you can try the special dark...

The 3 layer crispy pork and char siew pork is recommended as they are very flavourful. The char siew is sweet but also flavourful as you can see from its redness. The noodles are also delicious with a subtle and light sauce. The rice is not white rice and has its own flavour as well. They provide condiments of homemade chilli sauce and thick sweet soy sauce. Kedondong juice tastes very refreshing yet quite diluted and it is not that sour. The taste of the food is consistent since several years ago.
