Kuching Park Hotel — Hotel in Borneo

Room: clean & spacious. Advertised as 'smart room' using voice command to control lighting, tv, aircond & curtain but doesn't seem to work. BIG WARNING if you are given rooms at level 3 room number 311 until 322. Their event hall is just below at level 2, & if got any event (wedding reception, party etc), be prepared for the sound to enter your room. Can feel the vibration & bass from the speakers below. By right events should finish by 1130pm but seems not enforced. Refer to my video & hear the thumping sound.

Check-in/out: Officially start at 2pm. Went there at 3pm but room was still not ready (still cleaning). Got room card at 3.30pm. No self check-in even though stated in their website. And prepare RM150 for DEPOSIT, even after fully paid online. Can pay with card but they will refund it back within 1 week, so advisable to pay with cash as they will give it back on check-out.

Location: OK if you have own transport or just use e-hailing. Around 10-15mins to city center & malls (Viva or the Spring). If driving, parking is a bit hard to find

I recently went for a work at kuching park hotel, It was for 5 days and o4 night stays and I have made the booking through bookthehotel.com. We arrived an hour early before check-in, and to my pleasant surprise, the front desk receptionist allowed us for early check-in. I had booked a family suite room and when we arrived at the room, I found out it can easily fit a family 3, or even, At first glance, the decorations of the room look elegant and beautiful. It has two single beds and one sofas and a balcony. The room even comes with TV, with Astro provided as well! The panoramic view is spectacular and I enjoyed watching the sunsets during my stay there. Other than that, the food was scrumptious! There’s a lot of western or even traditional food there. Their chicken chop is superb. All the tourist there looks satisfied with their stay in that hotel. A Despite that, I would 100% recommend this hotel to my friends and family. You may find it your best stay yet in Langkawi as it provides you peacefulness and harmonious view. I would rate this hotel a 7 out of 10. This hotel is considered one of the renowned hotel in KCH, and since my last visit here surely they need to do some upgrade to be relevant nowdays. And yes they did exactly that, my 1st impression when i came last Saturday was WOW, its like a brand new hotel, the lobby was completely changed with big giant screen and multiples self-check in kiosk awaiting you..and then things started to disappoint me greatly. 1st of all this is a hotel, means hospitality is a must and yet when we reached the hotel, no hotel staff is there to greet the guest and explaining to the guest about the so the high tech self check-in kiosk. Everyone is clueless, some arrived earlier and still not getting their room even after 3pm. There is only one or 2 struggling hotel staff who is trying their best to accommodate the guest and the Cafe. The hotel should have anticipate that not everyone is capable of using the kiosk un-attended. Some guest even only getting their rooms after 4pm. Maybe i caught them on a bad day, but hopefully thing will change for the better for the hotel after the refurbishment completely done. Great room...
