Premier 101 Food Centre — Restaurant in Sarawak

July 2019 - One of many food courts in Kuching and is very popular with the locals. There are plenty of stalls to choose from. Dishes such as kolo mee, Sarawak Laksa, wonton noodles, rice dishes, nasi lemak, grill fishes and seafood, BBQ meats, and many more (too many to describe!). Anyway, the prices are reasonable and the food was tasty. Each dish is a normal portion size for most Malaysian people but will be considered a small portion for Caucasians 😅.

This is a licensed site and you can order the drinks i.e. 🍻🍺. Plenty of non-alcoholic drinks such as soft drinks and homemade drinks are also available.

It is outdoor seating area and you can choose to seat anywhere as long as you remember your table number to give to the stall staff when ordering your food.

Onsite and street parking 🅿.

They accept cash only for those who want to know.

Would I go back? Yes ☺ Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐out of 5. Plenty of options to choose from 😋. Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Don't expect too much. Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐. Large outdoor seating area, the food court staff constantly cleaning the tables and sweeping the ground/ floor. Price: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Reasonable prices depending on what you order.

June 2016 - Love the hawker stalls.. Plenty of choices to choose from. Downside are the car parking 🅿 and finding a table...

It's a place where you enjoy a variety of local foods. If you are new in town, best to go with a few friends. Have one sit at the to order drinks (look for someone with handheld tablets walking around) while others explore for foods. My one recommendation is to go through the entire place so you are not missing anything. Some you can order foods to be delivered to your table (each table has a number so know that before ordering), some you pat and pick up yourself or wait for it.

Below are few favorites: Kolo mee and wonton soup - if you are facing for food court standing in the open air area. The hawker stall under the drink menu on the right. She wrap her wontons per order. Both tasty and satisfying.

Grilled chicken wings - in the open air area (you can't missed it).

Satay - also at the front near the open air area.

Peanut pancakes - from the front of the open air area, walk towards the right alley. A small stall on the left side. Soft, chewy and peanut.

If you want fresh coconut, the drink stall on the right of the open air area. They are on display so you won't miss it.

Other seafood and noodle dishes are up to you to decide as there are many stalls the sell the same...

Ini dia salah satu food center paling rame di kuching sini gaess. Selain paling rame juga paling lengkap kayaknya yaa. Ada banyak stall makanan mulai dari seafood, claypot, barbekyu, ampe stand durian juga ada loh.

Sebenernya misi utama kesini buat makan duren, tapi ternyata lagi gak musim gaess kalo awal April tuh 😖. Okei gapapa kita lanjutin aja makan makannyaa yaa.

Kemarin disini kita coba : Mie campur babi 12 Claypot taiwan braised pork 13 Spring onion meat pie 6 buat 1 piece Taiwan oyster omelete 15 Dua botol minuman lemon 10 Barbekyu babik nambah dendeng 50gram 16

Mie campur babik Pertama makan ini karena pengen yang kuah kuahan dulu biar ga eneg wkwk. Kuahnya gurih kaldu babi gitu. Isiannya ada irisan daging babik dan irisan hati babik. Btw kita dikasi sambel asem pedes gitu. Overall enak tapi mie nya overcook

Claypot taiwan braised pork Warnanya cantik gaess. Di bagian atas ditaburin sejenis kacang warna ijo gitu. Gatau kacang apaan, ukurannya hampir kayak kacang merah indo tapi warna ijo. Nah potongan daging babinya gak terlalu banyak tapi super duper lembutt. Seperti claypot pada umumnya, di bagian bawah tuh ada kerak nasinya gitu. Btw ini rasanya gurih tipis gitu gaes dan gak terlalu wangi rempah gitu. Kita sih kurang sreg karena rasanya kirain bakal manis gurih kayak braised pork di indo, lupa klo disini jarang yg manis wkwk

Spring onion meat pie Ini macem roti goreng gitu gaes, isiannya ada potongan daun bawang ama daging cincang. Tapi gak terlalu tebel isiannya. Yang paling enak karena digoreng, tekstur luarnya krispi tapi dalemnya masih juicy. Ini enak bgt bgt kayaknya klo dimakan pake saos ato cabe rawit gitu keknya

Taiwan oyster omelete Biasa kita pesen crispy oyster omelete, nah ini versi taiwannya gaes. Ternyata teksturnya goewy kenyal gitu. Mungkin kalo di kita mirip tekstur tempe mendoan yang kenyal tapi digoreng gitu ya haha. Isian oysternya sedikit 😖. Keknya klo omelete gini masih enak yg stall di belakang seafood, cuman kemaren stallnya tutup gaess.

Barbekyu babi ama tambahan jerky Barbekyu babinya kita pilih yang 3 layer gaes. Pas kita pesen, lembaran dagingnya langsung di grill gituuu. Trus abis itu baru deh digunting gunting. Rasa bbq 3 layer pork nya tuh manis gitu tapi lagi lagi gak terlalu berempah. Manis gurih laah. Dan dimakan pake cocolan sambelnya manteb bgt, apalagi pake nasi🤤

Eia jerky ini maksudnya dendeng babi gaess. Teksturnya hampir sama aja sih ya kayak dendeng babi mana aja. Rasa juga manis gitu cuman gak berempah, biasa kan dicampur dikit bumbu ngohiong.

Yang perlu diimprove mungkin 🔃 Nambah seating area yg tertutup misal ujan gitu 🔃 Tempat cuci tangan tersembunyi 🔃 Mudahan makin banyak yg jual makanan otentik malay seperti nasi kandar dll

Overall food center ini bisa jadi andelan buat dicoba gaes misal kita pengen explore tapi waktu terbatas. Jadi gak perlu ke topspot gitu untuk seafood nya gaess. Dan di bulan bulan tertentu (desember kalo ga salah ya) ada banyak jenis...
