This was my 3rd time at the Hash Cafe and it was pleasant. The atmosphere in the cafe is not the best that I've experienced, but it wasn't the worst. It was well-lit, but comparing this cafe to the previous one located at GalaCity - the space there was a lot more cramped but cozy, this new (quite new, I've never actually sat down to dine-in here, only take-outs) cafe was exponentially larger and a lot more spacious. I do not usually relax in cafes in daylight, so I cannot speak for the environment earlier in the day, but at night, it's pretty calming and quiet, save for some customers that bustle from some tables.
My mother and I ordered a cup of hot Cappuccino and iced Strawberry Milk respectively, and altogether, it was relatively cheaper than some cafes that I've been to. The Strawberry Milk isn't the same as it used to be, the milk froth was much thicker back then and the presentation was much prettier with strawberry syrup drizzle on top. My mother had noted that there was less foam on her Cappuccino unlike other cafes that we've been to, but due to personal preference, she actually enjoyed less foam. But again, if you'd like more foam, it's better to request it at the counter than expect it.
For bites, we ordered the Strawberry King Waffle, Beef on Cheese Pizza, and a slice of Strawberry Shortcake. The Strawberry King Waffle was tasty, the waffles themselves were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the thin crispiness is a great texture in contrast to the gooey soft insides, so when you bite down, it's a pleasant experience. My mother had mentioned that it was too sweet for her taste, but in my opinion, it was just right. The vanilla ice cream was a great combination to the waffle and the way I ate it was to slather some ice cream into a square dip of the waffle and top it off with a cut strawberry, cut out the square and eat it in one bite. The Strawberry jam that was drizzled on the waffle was delicious in its sweetness in comparison with the strawberries that had a sour kick to it. I'm not into sour fruits, by any means, but it's quite refreshing to have the strawberry there to deter the overwhelming heaviness of the waffle and ice cream combo.
The Beef On Cheese Pizza was fantastic, the crispiness was done well and the toppings were nicely spread out for equal slices. The taste of the pizza was not too salty. I cannot say too much about the pizza since I am not too big of a fan of it, but it was pretty good. The Strawberry Shortcake was relatively nice and not too sweet. The sponge layer of the cake was soft and light, and the strawberry cream was not too heavy on the taste buds. It's a very light cake that many would love.
In terms of customer service, the staff were very attentive and respectful. I didn't spend too much overall since my total was about 70-ish ringgit, and the experience wasn't too bad. I would recommend it to people who are looking for a new cafe to...
Read moreI highly recommend their waffles and their cake. I'd love to try their coffee someday. ❤️😀
I visited this cafe with a friend and was delighted by the name because I'm a waffle fan and I hoped their hash symbol meant they served good waffles. 😂 I wasn't disappointed. For the king strawberry waffle dessert priced at RM 17.90, I expected something premium and I received a very generous portion of waffles topped with lots of fresh strawberry, vanilla ice cream and syrup. The waffles were crispy and chewy. I loved it.
This place exudes laid back charm and coziness with their golden hour lighting, plush chairs and muted hues. I shared a mushroom pizza with a friend and it was perfectly thin but generous with cheese. We also had a blueberry chocolate cream cake that tasted surprisingly refreshing. The tart berries and butter cream worked well together. The drinks were nothing special but looked pretty. Overall, we paid RM 70+. For an upscale place, this is normal. It's worth it for me because we spent time in a lovely atmosphere and ate delicious food.
Definitely recommend this cafe for chill hang outs with friends, dates or splurging on yourself. Just prepare your wallet. Expect to spend up to RM...
Read moreOur first visit here last night 16/8/2024. The outside of the cafe was nondescript, just an ordinary shopfront. Interior was plainly & simply furnished w mismatched tables & chairs & a sofa. What caught my eye were the cakes on display: while not exactly beautifully decorated, they looked delicious! Service was courteous & genuine. What we loved abt the food: latte was ok. The much raved abt pizza was bit of a letdown tho, the filling was generous but the thin crust was soft & soggy not crunchy. The stars for me were the lychee rose red tea, of wch the ingredients were hand packed into a tea bag, its NOT just a fancy commercial teabag drink. Highly recommended. So too the strawberry shortcake. One bite & i could tell its made w good ingredients & w care. The sponge cake was soft & moist, the dairy cream tasted of real strawberry flavour. This place is definitely worth a repeat visit(s) from me so i can try out all the cakes & the 2 types of hand...
