SugarBun (TABUAN JAYA branch) — Restaurant in Sarawak

With the new management, the new Fried Chicken Recipe is very poor, as can be witnessed by the number of customers there. With the Lockdown it's even worse. Sorry, you've lost that loving feeling... It was a reputable Fast-food outlet managed by Mr. Wung back in 1975 if I'm not mistaken and the 1st Sugar Bun stall was at Kenyalang Park Shopping Mall, Kuching. He worked his humble business up till he had more than 10 Sugar Bun outlets throughout Sarawak. Only then did KFC come in - their 1st Fast Food store was at Wisma Hopoh, Jalan Pee Ramlee, Kuching. Sugar Bun was franchised and later sold the business chain out... and it's business worsened till many of it's stores were forced to shut down ... till today, there are only a few left.

As expected, Sugar Bun in Tabuan Jaya is now closed down...

I love Sugarbun food but seriously the staff really has to up their game when it comes to service. There have been many times when staff are very slow at taking orders and even slower at preparing the food. But on days when they’re efficient, they’re really efficient. If they can just keep the good service up consistently, then it would deserve the 5 stars. Anyway, the signature sugarbun rice is to die for. Their fish burger, beef stew and asam fish is tasty as well. Parking here is abundant. The restaurant itself looks a bit rundown but...

Service is very slow as counter is mained by one person.Customers time taken is 20 to 25 minutes to place order.She gets the order and prepare the menu plus maining the cash counter.Mgmt should employ more staff at counter at least 2 staff then the runing of the counter...
