We were regulars during the Patrick Teoh era. Always love the food and energy the place brings.

The new owners kept the same vibe but it now has a different menu to cater to all. The more the merrier, right.

We ordered 2 chicken chops, one with hainanese sauce and the other the mongolian sauce. Ot was recommended by the staff. The hainanese style was a tad disappointing as it was watery and lacked flavour. The mongolian sauce was tasty but again diluted. The tiny apple salad and fries accompanied the dish. Chicken was deep fried nicely though.

We also ordered a cendol. Its something we do often if the establishment has it. Again, the santan and brown sugar syrup was diluted so much you could hardly taste it. Not sure if this is a regular practice of their cendol, but if it is, we would skip it.

Theu did recommend their signature coffee. This we would return for. Rich, strong coffee, lightly sweetened with milk.

Overall, we would return to try their local dishes instead and their signature coffee. But we do hope this place stays as it has become a huge part of KKB...

A Chinese Muslim cafe. Glad to have found this unique cafe in this area. For those who are heading to Fraser's Hill, don't miss this place. We ordered nasi lemak, mee goreng, wah tan hor, carbonara, and banana puff.

Below are my thoughts:

  1. the nasi lemak is delicious. rice is fragrant and the sambal is spicy. The fried anchovies are crunchy.
  2. the wah tan hor is simple but surprisingly you can taste the 'wok hei'
  3. mee goreng is delicious too. It tastes like the fusion of Chinese and Malay style mee goreng
  4. beside that, there are many varieties of puffs. The special ones are banana puff and yam puff. The banana puff tastes like banana pie, crunchy crust and the banana is awesome, love it.
  5. the owner is very friendly and helpful. She helps us with the menu.
  6. this cafe is uniquely decorated and its ambience brings you back to the old times.
  7. prices are very reasonable

I would highly recommend this cafe. Will definitely...

It's one of those places that will grow on you in small town KKB. When it was alone, now this place faces competition from others, similar, and probably cheaper food. Where seats were fiercely limited, others offer bigger sitting areas.

Although it has changed hands, this outlet is still very popular among regulars and loyalists. Newcomers will find the place interesting, with lots of bicycles hanging from the ceiling and on the wall. Old world stuff, vehicle registration plates, advertisement boards, and others will be charming reminders of what the past offered. Plenty of Instagrammable stuff, perhaps even more that its already extensive menu. But no place is great without its bevy of staff and although small in number, they are quite fast and up to date on orders. You won't be...
