Quiet little place in a less explored enclave of Kuala Kubu Bahru, along a street that used to have only a traditional coffee. This other is a good addition that also sprung a few other cafes.
The fare are reasonably priced, likely being the reason it is part of an accommodation. On weekends, it can be pretty packed although there are plenty of sitting areas as the cafe is divided into two sections, the other opened with the one next door is full. The air-condition is backed with ceiling fans making it quite cosy and cool.
As for food choices, it's more of the typical Malaysian fare - served halal, meaning no pork. But for those who cannot leave behind their western taste buds, yes they also have that customary western makan.
Won't go into details of what we ordered, Asam Laksa, Curry Mee, and local Kopi, except portions are big, affordable, typical of small towns like this.

Read moreThe place was clean. Nice deco. Toilets were clean. Service was fast. Got a table very quickly despite it being lunch hour on a Friday. The food arrived quickly. Everything else was only mediocre. The Claypot chicken rice was basically just nasi ayam kicap in a Claypot. Name was very deceiving. Was not charred at the bottom which is the best part. Basically it was not cooked in the claypot. Nasi goreng kangkung and ikan bilis also average. Did not stand out. The chicken chop was a little dry and was a not the usual chicken chop thigh fillet. It was actually a fried chicken. To be fair, the piece was large . I had the kuey tiow kungfu. I enjoyed it. Probably the best out of the others we ordered. Overall , average. But 5 stars for Cleanliness...

The kids ordered their curly fries, poporn chicken and nuggets. Lovely. Their mushroom soup was okay but a bit powdery. Me and the wife had the pepper udon and tomyum noodles which were tasty. The portions are not super huge but it was fine for us during mid afternoon.
It's clean with fast, helpful service and the cafe had very nice deco that appeals to kids. Parking can be an issue. Pricing may be slightly above average but overall we had an enjoyable time. I give this...
