A Delightful Dining Experience with a Touch of Improvement

My visit today to this restaurant was a delightful experience, offering a blend of fresh seafood, a cozy atmosphere, and exceptional service.

Seafood Delights: The star of the show was undoubtedly the seafood. The oysters, prawns, and sashimi were all incredibly fresh, bursting with flavor. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients.

A Touch of Disappointment: While the seafood was exceptional, the fruit selection left me wanting more. The fruit lacked sweetness and vibrancy, a slight disappointment considering the overall high standard of the meal.

Ambiance and Service: The restaurant's ambiance was truly charming, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The décor was tasteful and the lighting created a warm and welcoming space. The service was equally impressive, with all staff members being attentive and friendly. Special recognition goes to Akrum, whose exceptional service and friendly demeanor truly enhanced the dining experience.

Overall Impression: Despite the minor disappointment with the fruit, this restaurant offers a truly enjoyable dining experience. The fresh seafood, cozy atmosphere, and outstanding service make it a strong contender for a memorable evening. With a slight improvement to the fruit selection, this restaurant could easily become a top choice for seafood lovers...

My family & I had a Japanese Hi-Tea buffet at Fu-rin on Sunday 22 Sept 2024. It was our first time here and we certainly had a great time. Definitely would not be our last. We are elated to express our satisfaction with the overall dining experience.

First & foremost the service rendered by the Furin associates were remarkable. We were truly delighted with the warmth, friendly, courteous, helpful & efficient service given to us by Akram, Ellesya, Chef Tuah in particular & the rest of the team. My compliments to them for rendering a 5 Star service.

As for the food served, overall it was tasty at its highest quality. I must say the oysters, salmon & prawns were fresh, the beef was so tender. The tepanyaki & tempura was well prepared by the Chef & his team. We enjoyed it so much. Kudos for the great effort and professionalism Chef Tuah & team.

A fair varieties of menu selection. All in all it was value for money. We certainly look forward for another great dining experience here at Fu-rin. You certainly deserve a 5...

I'm only referring to the buffet here, not a la carte!

Came here to enjoy high quality japanese buffet.

Optically the buffet was convincing. Also the available selection of food seemed nice.

However, as usual with buffets, it's very hard to upheld the quality when offering quantity.

Some of the food was totally overcooked or in case of some vegetables in a dish a bit undercooked. Most of the offered warm dishes were not really Japanese but rather generic Asian dishes.

Sashimi, Nigiri, Maki Sushi were Ok, but quite limited in choice to only 3 different kind of fish.

More typical japanese salads and appetizers were missing in my opinion.

In the end however, I was able to find enough items I liked. (I still believe, that if ordered a la carte, these items will taste...

I had sushi and udon set, the noodles were scrumptious, sushi was well made - really thick cuts of fish with a smear of wasabi - and salad was refreshing. Fattest cuts of sashimi, super fresh and delicious - the toro belly is pricy but you pay for the quality you get (5pcs for RM188). Saba fish was thick and good. Tempura looked well made too. The next table of 4 only ordered unagi don, have to try that next time. Service was ok, had to ask for refills of hot tea even though we were the only table that Saturday evening and tea was cold. Restaurant is newly renovated, has a nice garden out front and plenty of parking plus private dining room seating up to 8 pax. I highly recommend this hidden gem (seriously hidden, the resort is always empty when we visit).

First visit here for Sunday high tea buffet. Thoroughly enjoyed the spread of Japanese dishes, especially the freshly live- station prepared prawn tempura and teppanyaki grilled seafood of salmon and tiger prawns, as well as the grilled beef slices which were tender and non-chewy.The sashimi and oysters were fresh, and the cold soba noodle, Japanese pickles and baby octopus were flavourful and delicious. Dessert tasted great, but spread is limited. Also missing is the all important hot beverage of tea or coffee at the end of the meal! Layout and seating are spacious and comfortable, contributing to the relaxed ambience of the place. High marks for pleasant and attentive staff. Overall, a highly satisfying lunch experience.
