Tl;dr Buffet was worth the price at rm45. Burgers itself were just alright.
I would unfortunately, describe the taste of the burgers here as very similar to a ramly burger. Compared to places like myburgerlab or hot bird, where those places tend to be more “westernised” and “personalised”, the burgers here share the “Ramly DNA.” More on that later.
Came for the burger buffet around 6pm and would recommend others to come at or earlier than us. There will be a wait between orders and orders can take up to 20 mins to be prepared once it gets busier. You can order a maximum of two burgers per customer per order and as many sides as you want but there will be a rm10 wastage fee for every 100g of food wasted. You’ll also have to finish your food before making the next order. You can definitely fill yourself up within 3 orders (6 burgers) even if you’re a large eater. You get 90 mins of dining time including waiting for your first order which is about enough time for 3 orders. All fairs in my opinion, no complaints.
Onto the burgers themselves. All of the burgers have one thing in common, that’s the “Ramly DNA.” Buttered buns, lettuce, run of the mill chilli sauce (if you get the spicy ones), and kraft cheeses or similar. They’re also presented like ramly burgers. The smell, texture, presentation, taste, everything looks and feels like an upscale version of the Ramly burger. The beef and chicken patties though, were not of the usual Ramly kind. The beef was of a leaner mince which means it only comes out medium well, well done, or beyond. The chicken patty itself could be flavourful or quite neutral. The standout is definitely the truffle burger because of its truffle sauce. I do recommend getting the beef patty with this as the chicken patty is quite flavourless in this burger. They also have options for dirty cheese burgers which are just burgers drenched in fake cheese, personally not a fan but to each their own. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad thing but for rm30, I’d personally go for myburgerlab. BUT for rm45 burger buffet, it was well worth a try.
Sides consist of spaghetti which was either too al dente or drenched in sauce, popcorn chicken type of boneless chicken, and fake cheese sauce.
Service was good, staff took our orders promptly and cleaned tables quickly as they become available. One of the staff did get my order wrong as she assumed my order without checking with me what I actually wanted even though she said she didn’t actually know what I was ordering.
Overall, if it wasn’t a buffet, I’d probably rate...
Read moreI recently visited The BRGR Place, for their all you can eat, burger buffet. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. At 45 ringgit per person, I expected a decent meal, but what I received was far from worth the price.
The boneless chicken was overcooked and dry, making it quite unappetizing and it left us with the burnt aftertaste. As for the chicken patty, it tasted like it had been sitting out at room temperature for too long—definitely not fresh. The burger was average at best, with an excessive amount of sauce used, perhaps to cover up its lackluster flavor. The spaghetti was cold, too salty and it has harden. They definitely don't bother to reheat or cook the fresh one.
To add to the disappointment, the ice cream were almost melted. The consistency can't be saved. Too bad for an ice cream lover like me. Sadly, the only saving grace were ONLY the curly fries, at the burger place!!
On top of the food quality, I found the staff to be not particularly friendly. While I understand that they might have been busy, their demeanor did little to enhance the experience, especially given terrible food quality.
I suggest that the management take a step back and consider serving food that they themselves would enjoy. After all, customers pay good money for a meal and shouldn't have to settle for what feels like school canteen food.
Overall, I can't recommend The BRGR Place based on my experience. Improvements are...
Read moreThis is my second time coming to Glenmarie outlet. This time around the service was so bad i tell you. I went to the counter to make an order. After i listed out all my order, i noticed got free drink for new member signed up. When i asked the staff, he straight away asked me to pay first. The way he replied as if i came only to ask for free drink. Hello i listed out the orders, obviously i would pay instead of coming for free drink. Where is the manner and common sense? Second, when my husband collected the meal and asked for 1 extra plate and spoon, he said only 1 set of spoon is allowed for the meal. LOL. This is my first time heard this kind of thing from food services provider. Even hawkers dont calculative on giving extra spoon etc. Third, the chocolate on top of waffle was sooooo little compare to first time im having my waffle at that outlet. Luckily when i asked from different staff, he was politely attended me and poured more chocolate for me. All of the services i experience was attended by one tall, skinny, tan skin and wear spectacles guy. He needs more training on F&B i guess. Credit to a fair with spectacles guys who attended me with manner when i asked for extra...
