Organization - this is what this outlet lacks. As a McD fan, I've been here numerous times. However, the service is not something I look forward to. There were more awful experiences compared to good ones.
Recently I went on a weekday around lunchtime and the crowd was crazy. It seemed that the staff was overwhelmed with the amount of orders. Funnily, some of the staff looked very busy but there were also others who weren't helping too. I had to wait for more than 40 minutes for a two-person meal. And they replicated my order. I requested for my order to be sent to my table but because they took so long, I had to pick it up myself from the counter. I was given an extra drink - one from the counter and another from McCafe station. Worse is, they both tasted horrible. The drinks seemed like hastily made concoctions - they tasted like individual ingredients that weren't mixed properly. I've had drinks from the roadside stall that tasted a lot better.
Many customers were also waiting for their orders and when the orders were ready, the counter was crowded because the staff didn't know which order was which. Disappointed, even after many years, the service has not only NOT improved, but seemed to deteriorate further. For an outlet of a multiglobal chain, you'd have expected better.
EDIT: Revising my review to 1-star (previously I rated 2 stars), because of yet another blunder by Mcdonald's on my latest visit. Still have not received my refund after THREE WEEKS even though I was told they'd process it between 7-14 days.
*their system was down after I made my payment so I had no way to show the details of my order to the staff
*my food wasn't prepared even after waiting for an hour (not sure why this is called 'fast' food)
*I ordered three breakfast set orders, only received two drinks from the mccafe, and none of the food
*got calls from this branch service person and 3 calls from their HQ Finance staff. Unpleasant experience as the finance staff was very abrupt and kept on saying they'll do partial refund because I got 2 of my drinks. Kept on calling and asking the same questions, made me feel like I'm begging for the food that I actually paid for
*I have still NOT RECEIVED my refund, it's been 3 weeks when they promised me to have it settled between 7-14 days.
Seriously McDonalds Malaysia, buck up! For the kind of poor service you prepare, it's not worth the money you're charging...
Read moreI agree with others that this is the worst McD outlet I've come across. If you want to have FAST FOOD, don't come here. They will make your order messy and make you wait for a long time. I'm never coming back here again. I will go just go to another outlet, just a bit farther from my house than this one.
Review in 2021: Crazy long drive-thru lane. Come before 11.30 am if you want to skip the lunch queue. Service is ok, fast speed, but often missed a burger or a box of nuggets. Had to come back all the way from home to get it..... Be careful, peeps, check it, and check it again before driving back home.
Review in 2023: I walked into the outlet to order takeaway since the drive thru is long queue and barely moved. The ordering machine and payment were fine. After that was a long wait until the waiter called my receipt number for me to collect the order. The burgers were all piled up in one single bag and difficult to check through every single one. I went back home, opened it up, and the fries were not there. I had to drive all the way back and ask for the fries. When I reach there, no one wants to entertain me at all. All of them seem busy, and even when not busy, they seem to just ignore my presence there. I asked to see the manager, the girl waiter just pointed where her manager is (inside the kitchen), and I guess she's expecting me to enter the kitchen to talk to the manager.... I had to ask a second time, telling her that she needed to tell her manager to see me as I couldn't enter the kitchen and I didn't know what's her manager's name was. The manager reluctantly came out and looked dissatisfied that I requested to see her. I spoke to her that the fries were missing from my order and that it has been several times that her staff have been missing a few items from my orders. She went back to her kitchen and continued to scold her staff, etc. None of them was getting me the fries that were missing. The fries are, in fact, available, and there were a few staff members standing there doing nothing. I looked at them, and they were obviously avoiding the customers' eyes. While I continue to wait, there are other customers complaining about some items missing as well, and another customer waited for 45 minutes and is still not getting her order. After 10 mins of waiting, I asked the waiter again whether they were going to give me the fries or not, and FINALLY, they gave...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience. Came here for a quick dinner but ended up waited for more than 30mins for "fast food" to be ready. My Q number was 134 but numbers after me eg. 139, 141 and others were served before me. The front counter staff is so blur, helpless and kalang kabut. I saw my order chit being ignored by stuffing it under the tissue holder, or placed on another number's tray (with food that isn't mine). When I asked about it, the staff took my order chit and strolled around the kitchen doing god knows what before being called away by another unsatisfied customer, then my order chit was just stuffed under yet another random tray.
What's worst was the irresponsible manager (purple shirt, with neatly tied hair) who refused to help her staff; when this staff approached her with my order chit, she just conveniently dump it in one of the random take away bags at the counter and walked away without even saying one word to me or the staff. When I questioned the staff again, she looked shocked and she tried to pawn off my order chit to her peers, since no senior staff was there to help.
The whole situation was messy and infuriating. There were a ton of backlogged and missing orders, but the counter was also filled with unclaimed/partially completed orders. Customers were getting annoyed because latter Q numbers were being served while your order just sits there. One lady was even trying to complete her own orders by instructing the counter staff.
Throughout this chaos, the manager did not come to the staff's rescue when they were being scolded by angry customers. Sampai I specifically mintak nk speak to the manager, pon dia refuse to keluar.
