Came here after my mom found their vid on Tiktok an hour ago. With the assortment of lauk (seen on Tiktok) and their operation hours (5pm-5am) thought it's a nice place to come to for sahur. Got there after midnight on a Saturday night and of all thing for a Nasi Lemak place to run out, they ran out of sambal. Had to opt for sambal kerang for both nasi lemak. No sambal udang, no sambal sotong, no sotong celup tepung, udang celup tepung, nothing. Drinks available were mineral , and 3 types of air balang. Not really well taken care of, no ice. 2 out of the 3 drinks weren't replenished.
I understand it's the weekend, long lines, tables to be cleared and trying to cater to a lot of people's needs and expectations. But when it's not even like what is advertised with a plethora of lauk available, supposedly lauk panas² even up to 5am... How lah to enjoy nasi lemak sans the sambal nasi lemak? We were told that the sambal is in prep "belum pecah minyak", but after we were done eating, sambal wasn't even ready. The line of people after me only option was nasi lemak with sambal kerang, and the sambal kerang was running out fast.
Never coming back again. If this is how things are being handled. Don't have somebody monitoring the sambal, lauk-pauk, what needs to be cooked before things run out. Nobody in charge of the drinks, keeping it replenished and iced. Tables took forever to be cleared. When my mom and I was done eating just added both of our plates to the existing piles of plates...
Read moreThe basmathi rice is the highlight, offering a delightful aroma of coconut milk and pandan that elevates the dish. The sambal leans toward a spicy profile, which some may enjoy, but it doesn’t stand out compared to other well-known sambals.
The pandan chicken is expertly fried and flavorful, showcasing excellent preparation. However, it’s not fried to order, so it wasn’t served warm, which could enhance the overall experience.
The nasi lemak is complete with all the traditional condiments—whole boiled egg, cucumber, peanuts, and crispy anchovies—ensuring a satisfying and authentic meal. For those who enjoy an extra sambal, the sambal hijau has a bold flavor, though it was slightly on the salty side.
The drinks menu is straightforward, offering the essentials. I opted for the sirap selasih, which was refreshing, though nothing particularly memorable.
The dining environment is simple and functional, with both outdoor seating and an air-conditioned indoor area to choose from. While practical, the ambiance could be improved with some minor refurbishments, especially for the tables, to enhance comfort and appeal.
To conclude my review, Nasi Lemak Parking offers a good meal, with the basmathi rice and pandan chicken being standout elements. While there’s some room for fine-tuning, such as ensuring food is served warm and balancing flavors, the overall experience is satisfying. It’s a spot worth trying, but the social media hype may set expectations a little higher...
Read moreI hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my disappointment following a recent visit to your restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the standards I had expected, both in terms of service and food quality.
Upon arriving, I noticed that the available dishes included a bowl of what appeared to be leftover fried squid and two pieces of spiced fried chicken. I saw a staff member frying chicken and politely asked if I could wait for a freshly cooked batch. However, I was told that the two pieces already on display were from the new batch. I also inquired if there would be freshly fried squid, and was informed that only the existing portion was available.
Although I had my doubts, I proceeded to take the chicken as suggested. However, upon sitting down to eat, I found the chicken to be cold and hard—clearly not freshly cooked, as claimed. This was highly disappointing, especially considering the premium pricing.
Additionally, the service I received was unprofessional. One of your male staff members responded to my polite questions in a dismissive manner, which made me feel unwelcome. As a paying customer, I believe every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect.
I am sharing this feedback not out of anger, but with the hope that it will be taken seriously and used to improve the quality of both food and customer service. I believe in providing honest feedback so that businesses can grow and better serve...
