Restoran Nasi Lemak Royale Kedah — Restaurant in Shah Alam

Guys, for the record, this is NOT nasi beriani (long grained Basmathi) or nasi kandar (usually white rice), but NASI LEMAK, mamak style (spices, with tumeric, no santan), with nasi kandar-styled dishes.

If you are from Alor Setar, you'd be familiar with these kinds of nasi lemak around town, namely Nasi Zam-zam, Nasi Lemak Hj. Ali, Nasi lemak Hj. Sultan and Nasi Lan Kedah, just to name a few of the famous ones.

Please do not generalize, there are also many nasi Kandar outlets in Alor Setar, but locals do visit either ones according to their fancy.

As a Kedahan, I only eat nasi kandar while in Penang...but it's always THIS kind of Nasi lemak (mamak) when back home in Kedah.

Nice place. It was my first visit to the franchise restaurant store and i actually like it. I had 2 sotongs + 1 veggie cost me around RM22 and husband had daging kicap + veggie + 1/2 telur masin and cost him around RM8.50. We both ordered teh ice and it was okay too.
