Would give it a 0 star if possible. Service was atrocious to say the least as the boss lady herself was shouting as us when we initially arrived and asked for our reservation. Due to the fact that I bought in friends who could not speak mandarin/cantonese, the ordering process took us quite awhile to complete. This however, was made worse by the rude waiting staff who could not stop clicking her mouth and openly showing her annoyance.
Thinking with an open mind, we thought that we would just ignore it and try their food with an open mind. Food did not take too long to arrive as we tried our first dish, the highly recommended Nyonya styled Tilapia fish. This is perhaps the only saving grace to our dinner as the fish was the only thing that was 'okay'. It tasted average and much like the other typical nyonya styled fish from other restaurants you can find around, nothing too special about it.
Then came our second dish, the salted egg fried squid. Being an avid fan of both salted egg styled dish as well as fried squids I was actually really looking forward to this dish. However, the dish itself was luke warm when it arrived, the squids itself soft without any ounce of chewiness, and the taste of the salted egg components barely existent. Then came our 3rd and 4th dish, the belacan stir fried potato leaves, and steam crab with egg white. To summarise the stir fried potato leaves, it was cold without any 'wok hei'. As for the crab, it was tiny with barely any flesh on it, and did not tasted marvelous or spectacular to say the least. That very night itself after our dreadful experience there, everyone of us were sick with either diarrhea or vomiting.
A truly dreadful experience to say the least. 0/10 will never...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening.
The ambiance of the restaurant was charming, with traditional Chinese decor and soft lighting that added to the overall dining experience. There is a fishing pond outside, which has a serene atmosphere.
Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish we ordered was an absolute delight. From the classic favorites like steamed fish and butter fried shrimp to simple stir-fry yaumak, every bite was bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients.
Another highlight was the attentive service. The lady boss was knowledgeable about the menu (of course!) and offered perfect recommendations.
Overall, my dining experience at Yin Her was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm hospitality to the mouthwatering dishes, it's clear that this restaurant takes pride in delivering an authentic taste of Cantonese/local cuisine to...
Read moreFirst and final time to come here. Worst experience ever! This restaurant seriously should be banned! We arrived at 6.30pm and placed orders but only got to eat our dinner after 8pm. We had 2 elderly and 5 kids! The service and attitude of the staffs and boss were terribly awful, from placing order to serving drinks to chasing of the orders till serving the long awaiting food. Moreover, when we were chasing for our orders, the lady boss said had misplaced our order paper. That was really UNACCEPTABLE! When food were served, they had mistaken our orders with another table next to us as well. Imagine the person of the next table came to our table to pick up the right food! ABSURB! To the restaurant owner, if you can't handle a big crowd on a festival, then don't open a big restaurant and put so many tables out there. What most important is, PLEASE TRAIN ALL THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE, SPECIALLY ALL THE LADIES! We customers paid for food and your service, not including your...
