It's odd we travelled from PJ to sg buloh for a simple noodle dinner but the trip was well worth the while! This place typically attracts the locals and mainly the well heed family and not the younger crowd. Simple as it was but we felt satisfied and at home with our taste butt's for the noodles dish we ordered. Not to forget their minced meat with century egg porridge get sold out soon after 8. Deserving of mention were their poached chicken, steamed fish, Fried pork belly and pipa duck. The standard of dishs served were way above par and prices were new village like and inexpensive. Seemed they do have many regulars nightly and at least 2 tables were reserved for them nightly. That in itself says alot about the quality or standard of food offered, without me having to say so Liked to add that their steamed fish was perfectly done with a supreme grade of soya sauce. Despite being full hoysed when we went there, the dishes cane out fast. Only drawback was the fact no pictorial menu was handed out. So you have to enquire from the 'captain' themselves. Yes they were knowledgeable about the dishes offered. My personal advise is to be brave and adventerous to ask what they've. They have about slightly over 70 tables yet all were filled up. At the end of our meal, we'd all have our bellies hearty pats, giving them a 4 STARS RATING by my book.! Would recommend this place...
Read moreThis is the best restaurant I can find for chinese cuisine in this area! For a reasonable price tag, they served super fresh dishes, all superb seasoned, on point texture, served warm, and good portion. It's perfect!
I have visited this place before and never got disappointed. The recent visit amazed me even more. What we had on that day and I strongly recommend you to try are the porridge, teochew kuey tiao, roasted duck, onion and anchovies stir fry, and tengkiri fish.
If you have heard about this place, they are famous for their porridge, so tick this on your list. Teochew kuey tiao is the kind of chinese style noodle I like as it is not oily and with quite a lot of vege. What really moved me was the roasted duck and tengkiri fish. Duck was perfect in terms of seasoning and texture and that's all a roasted duck need to be rated 5 stars.
As for the tengkiri fish seared, I must said it was super fresh, and cooked just nice so that it is not raw nor meat hardened. Served with the soy sauce and it was already an exceptional dish. If you have tried a freshly caught seafood, you know what I mean.
The cook did so well that even the simplest vege stir fried was different from all those other chinese restaurant I went. My salute to the cook.
Food: 11/10, Price: About RM20 to...

If you're a fan of hearty Chinese cuisine, Jeff Lee Kitchen is a must-visit!
🍗 Roast Chicken – Served upright and beautifully roasted, this chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy inside. It's already flavourful on its own, but dipping it into their special salt mix brings it to a whole new level. Definitely a highlight of the meal.
🥣 Pork Porridge – Smooth, comforting, and loaded with crispy lard – this bowl is full of umami and feels like a warm hug. Perfect for porridge lovers.
🍜 Braised Pork Mee – Tender slices of braised pork paired with springy noodles and a rich, savoury sauce. The gravy clings to every strand of noodle, and each bite is packed with flavour. A very satisfying dish!
🥬 Paku with Marinated Sour Sauce – A refreshing surprise! The wild fern (paku) is crunchy and fresh, dressed in a sour, tangy sauce that really whets the appetite. Great balance to the heavier dishes.
Overall, this place offers a solid variety of flavours – from rich and indulgent to light and zesty. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the place can get crowded, so it’s best to come early.
Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more...
