The vicinity of USJ14 has a similar vibe to a sleepy town on the outskirts...oldish buildings with oldish signboards. We stopped by a couple non too interesting coffeeshops and decided to drive around before discovering this shop. Time for a snack 😋
Turned out to be a good discovery! Patrons seem to be regulars here, service is friendly and fast. We ordered a few fried and non fried yong Tau foo items and rice.Fried sui kow had pork, a bit of crunchy chestnut and carrot. The rest were filled with fish paste, which I'm more accustomed to. Nicely fried...crunchy, not oily. Ladies Finger, Brinjal and tow foo pok came in a light sauce, perhaps oyster mushroom based. Tastes really healthy and homey. Not the usual oily deep fried, charred eggplant.
Will be back bringing family. Cheap and clean tasting. TOTAL Bill today only RM21.80
Updated Referred to the bill for this review, and not sure why it is written RM16.80 for the Yong Tau Fu. Which item has gone up by 40 sen ? Menu as recent as 2 weeks ago shows each item is RM2.20 each, except for the Foo Pee (flat) is RM3.20. Our order was 6 normal yong Tau foo (rm2.20*6=)RM13.20 + 3.20= 16.40 but was written RM16.80
It's a small thing and easily overlooked cos most people don't check, or in this case, happen to review with a receipt. But it might matter to you 🤔
The rest of the prices follow the menu: Chinese tea 70 senx2, rice...
Read moreIn just a blink of an eye, it’s been 5-6 years since I last reviewed this place. So I thought of giving this review an update.
In spite of not been to place for some time, I really do miss this place a lot. From the moment my family & I step foot into the place, it very reminiscing of all the previous years we’ve came for their Yong Taufu. I personally am glad to see that it has looked the same all these years just like most Chinese coffee shop of restaurant.
Their service remains pretty decent and not much waiting time was required for the food to come since there wasn’t many people dining there when we’re there.
In terms of food, it has many common choices that you can find in any regular Yong Tau Foo shop with additional Hakka styled dishes available as well due to it being a Hakka restaurant. In the general, the food is decent & most of it's price is fairly reasonable as compared to other Yong Tau Foo shops nearby.
I would say is a good dinner option for anyone who wouldn't mind...
Read moreThis TTF and hakka dish shop is at the row of shop behind the coffee shop my family likes to visit for the fish meat bihun.sometimes we would walk to the back to get some groceries from usj14 99speedmart , and walk past this shop, we would say must try it one day, however we usually forget about it and only remember after our meal 🤣. Finally we get to try it yesterday, we enjoyed the YTF, CCF and the hakka char yuk very much, would definitely go back to try other hakka dish (black vinegar trotters, yam kauyuk) and enjoy the YTF...
