8/6/ 2025 Tar pau The Real Foods chicken salad, neat paper container with lid. Ready to eat, very convenient. Still very tasty and healthy, but too little tangy lemon mayo dressing..Not enough to cover the veg. Soba chicken salad is smaller container. Tar pau plain porridge RM3.50, really just chuk. no spring onion or anything...
3/2025 Roast chicken soba+ sweet corn RM11 delicious and fresh tasting, has kimchi for kick. Chicken with brown rice RM10.90. Chicken was juicy, not dry. Sweet potato mash in salad is very sweet! Is sugar added?
RM3.50 for a big, steaming hot bowl of plain porridge with slivers of ginger and spring onion. Delicious already on its own
RM2.50 for packet nasi lemak. Rice was nice, separate grains, not too much santan. Sambal had a ton of sugar, 2 ikan bilis, lots of kacang.
RM1.20 Chinese tea ice takeaway
A lot of choices to choose from. It seems that most of Subang agrees and are all crowded in here for breakfast 😔 Porridge is comforting, served steaming hot. Advice not to buy the yau char kwai across the road..drenched in oil and difficult to eat. Still the best is in USJ10.
Kuih were fresh with lots of varieties..even has cheap sushi and onigiri to pack for work, though the lady here glibly justifies giving the wrong change.
Popiah was done so badly, sengkuang presented roughly in big slivers, not appealing at all. Also overly sweet.
July 2024 3.30pm all stalls closed except chicken rice. RM11 for chicken rice with steamed chicken and Siu yuk. Fatty. 4pm ish...the Lian Kee wantan Mee started opening, so ordered a large nasi minyak RM2.20 and bowl of 5pcs prawn wantan RM9. Prawns are fresh and large. Unlike at night where too many people queueing and jostling to tarpau free soup, come now and be the only ones eating!
7 Oct 24 1pm Curry Mee RM10 ? had a gorgeous colour, 3 chicken pieces Roast chicken salad RM12.50 was so pretty n healthy. Pumpkin seeds, corn, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, raw onion, carrots, cucumber, one hard boiled egg and very dry roast chicken slices in a deep dish bowl with mayo and condiments tasting like a possible balsamic vinegar? And shrimp dry sambal. Will...
Read moreFamous Hawker restaurant with a lot of good food stalls and drinks.
This restaurant is famous for their drinks and variety choices of local toast. The local coffee is a must-try, strong and aromatic, and the “kow kow” cham, extra-strong coffee-tea mix. Do try it all.
My usual go to place for Sarawak laksa place. The broth is aromatic, rich, and perfectly balanced with just the right kick of spice and creaminess. The toppings are always fresh and generous, prawns, shredded chicken, shredded fried egg. The lime gives a sparks to the taste and the noodles have that ideal chewy texture, making every bite satisfying. Don’t miss the dried kolo mee, it is simple yet flavorful.
The lovely lady running the Sarawak Laksa stall is a gem, she is friendly, attentive, and even arranges chopsticks neatly for diners. Her care adds a personal touch to the experience.
For something indulgent, the Penang fried kuey teow hits the spot with its smoky wok hei, that signature charred aroma. The uncle running the stall always has a long queue, but trust me, it is worth the wait.
The chicken rice is solid too, though be prepared for a quick self-service queue during peak hours. The curry mee with its thick, hearty soup.
There are a lot of nice food in this restaurant, pan-mee, pork noodle, porridge, economy rice, a stall with healthy rice & noodle. Do try it out one by one.
Restaurant is always packed with people, but the turnover time is fast, so you can get a table or seats with a short wait.
Parking is always full, but somehow it's easy to find a spot due to the...
Read moreKolo Mee: The taste is alright. What we didn’t like was the long wait (35 to 40 mins) and the poor service given by the helper for the stall. However, the Aunty making the noodles seems nice and kind.
Their concept is weird and I find the noodles Are pricey for the ingredients given. When we ordered, the stall helper told us only large/ big was available and normal sized not available anymore (???).
After a few reminders the noodles finally arrived. When I saw it I immediately pointed out to the stall helper that they forgot vegetables (I requested it in place of char siew). Instead of bothering to look properly, the helper told me the vegetables were “inside” hidden from view. And as expected NOT a single leaf of veg was found once I started eating. Instead, an incredible amount of noodles stared back at me thanks to the “forced” large size I had to order and pay for.
Irked me greatly because it gives the impression of general laziness - first on the noodle size and next on the ingredients mix up.
All this could have been easily resolved by merely managing customers expectations- tell customers up front, the wait would be long. And provide a logical reasonable explanation for the size of the portions.
Update after receiving response: Thank you for the clear explanation on the portions and for being open to suggestions. Thank you for the kind offer on the house which is decent of you - though it is appreciated, I humbly decline. Will return instead, as a...
