We are rather conservative in our preference for a good family meal, preferring the tested and tried Chinese, Indian, Malay or western type. To celebrate my younger son's birthday, my elder son suggested we tried the middle eastern or oasis foods for a change. Since it closes early for dinner due to MCO, we had it delivered to us by 8PM. We were pleasantly surprised that it was a good and fine meal both in terms of its sumptuousness and reasonable prices. We particularly like their locally influenced fish, chicken and meat biryani and the smoked lamb shank and beef curry . However their 'desert ' bread, like a huge chapati, is too chewy as you need strong teeth and patience to chomp it down without choking. Their Briyani portions are really big compared with others although it is a few ringgit extra. There are definitely tastier, smoother and more aromatic giving you a sense of a wellbeing as you chomp it down gleefully. Had a 2nd meal from here for mother's day celebration which was equally good. Price wise it is more reasonable compared with other middle eastern...

[21 October 2022 - ⭐⭐⭐] 2nd time here, purchased aleppo kebab + bread. the bread (small = rm2) was very huge. hahahaha

But, now I'd noticed little bit of problems for this place

  1. Language. They don't understand BM. And their English also confusing. Had hard time communicating with few of their worker.

  2. The taste/price still similar. Not that amazing. And not the worst. I still stand with my 1st review.

[14 September 2022 - ⭐⭐⭐] Order beef kebab with rice. But, received chicken.

The waiting time is quite long despite the restaurant not full housed. Possibly due to online foodpanda orders, saw foodpanda machine on the table.

The taste was mediocre. A bit too salty tbh. Portion is quite small for the price. The shop also not that clean.

For the price, I thought it would be more premium/clean looking shop or if that unachievable, bigger portion of food. But, both are not.

Would give it a try again in the future, maybe dine in. Hope it would...

Bab Al Yemen stands out as a hidden gem among Arabic dining establishments, offering some of the most authentic and flavorful dishes I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. The food truly speaks for itself, with every bite brimming with the rich, aromatic spices that define traditional Yemeni cuisine. From tender meats to perfectly seasoned rice, the culinary experience is nothing short of exceptional.

While parking can be a bit challenging, and the atmosphere could benefit from some refinement, these minor inconveniences are easily overshadowed by the quality of the food. What sets Bab Al Yemen apart is not only its remarkable flavors but also its unbeatable prices – it is, without a doubt, the most affordable option for exquisite Arab food in the area.

For those seeking an authentic dining experience without compromising on value, Bab Al Yemen is...
