Revisited 25 March 2023 The flavours of food had declined and prices were on the high side. Of the seven dishes we ordered only two were delectable. We ordered:
Clay pot Loh Shi Fun. Probably the most popular dish in this restaurant. It was still yummy Pai Kuat in aluminium foil. Meat was tender and appetizing. Herbal chicken. Too salty, otherwise satisfactory. Fatt Put. Average Mix of Kailan and Choy sum vegetables. Tasted so so. Fried Tofu topped with minced pork. Tasted ordinary. Fried Cantonese-style Sung Meen. Nothing great.
The total bill was RM284.10 for the seven of us or RM40.59 per person.
Year 2018 Prior to visiting the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Show 2018 in Serdang, we had lunch at Makanan Laut Yoke Heng also in Serdang. We ordered:
Claypot Loh Shu Fan Honey Pork Ribs Chicken with rice wine Homemade fried beancurd Castle beancurd Deep fried squid with salted egg Deep fried brinjal Sweet potato leaf
Food was commendable except for the deep fried squid with salted egg batter and stir-fried sweet potato leaves. Everyone agreed that the claypot loh shi fun was too salty. Following our complaint, the noodle was taken back with more loh shi fun added. Another complaint but among ourselves - the food was expensive. RM303.70 for the eight of us (RM37.96 per person). Perhaps, also because we ordered too many dishes. The deep fried squid wasn’t sufficiently crispy and the duck egg flavor wasn’t strong enough to compliment the squid. The stir-fried sweet potato...
Read moreNO STAR shall be earned from me. Because this shop seems simply charge as they like. You might find this is small matter and worth not to mention. My experience: I have ordered the Chinese Tea pot Teh Kuan Yin with 4pax which make know since before start order. After finished dinner then comes the bill, they charge RM8, while I ask how they charge for tea, the staff asked which table was I from. (To me, it's the matter how you charges, should have regardless of which table or what you have been ordered.) While I can't wait and proceed to the young boss, the staff them quickly tell the boss table number and yet the boss as well quickly go to the cashier and take the bill and simply answer charge per head, I ask how much per head and he can't answer and looking at the order sheet said 4+2, we counted 5 and charged RM8, I said I ordered 4 which confirmed informed to the staff and as well I heard the staff told the person who make the tea to make for 4. He said then we count the cups, I said 4 cups and he replied "oh then I return you RM1 lo". Is this worth a star to rate? It's not the matter of how much money are there, if this is been cheated, 1cent is too much for me. I would say last time was not like that, their attitude towards this issue was unacceptable to me at all. Again, no star from me. If you go for any meal, please check carefully your bill, being cheated, 1cent...
Read moreThe service is getting worse every year. Today I will not tolerate your service anymore. Since you had re-opened, I tried few times. During dine-in, the served food were NOT what I ordered, but convinced me to take it. Fine, I take it because I also not wish to wait. In other way, it will also help you. Another dine-in, 1 dish was waited long time, until I need to check with boss. Oh FORGOT? Never mind. Cancel only. Few times take-away experiences, the food were often DELAY to ready, although I asked and confirmed WAITING TIME during phone call. I had shared my experience to you few times, so your side may improve better. But this time, when I arrived in restaurant after 15 minutes as per call conversation, I checked with your staffs (Chinese worker and foreign worker), they said in cooking and asked me to wait. I waited and waited, almost an hour, until all people around me had received their food and left, including walk-in take-away order. Felt something is wrong, so I checked again, then ended up you cannot even find my food order? SO THAT TIME I CHECKED WITH YOUR STAFFS, THEY JUST ASKED PEOPLE TO WAIT "AS GRANTED"?
