Gerai Syam Bawah Pokok — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

First time datang Gerai Syam Bawah Pokok untuk berbuka dengan kawan ofis, and it was a great experience! We WhatsApp-ed and ordered in advance, which made things easier since they already have set meals for a specific number of pax. Plus, paying a deposit upfront helped secure our booking.

The food was amazing! Everything tasted great, and my friend ordered the set colek, which we couldn’t stop eating because it was so good. Definitely worth it!

Parking was easy, the outdoor environment was nice, and the staff were friendly. Another plus point—Maghrib prayers were super convenient since we could just walk from the parking area...

The atmosphere was nice, open air, however the service was quite honestly horrendous, I'm not sure because they're lacking staff or just bad management.

Our simple order of drinks took 32 minutes to arrive (I timed it), some food came before the drinks!

The food itself is half decent, my friend's Tom Yam arrived cold, imagine that, cold Tom Yam, which makes me think it's a staff issue as the food was clearly ready a while.

This place has so much potential to become a really good family place, I hope the owner can sort these problems out, maybe have a specific team just for drinks so that it...

Don't go if you know about good food. This is nowhere close to good food. Due to being viral, there's lots of customers, but don't let that fool you into thinking the food is nice, it's actually an influencers deception. The food was bland, not enough tepung on the celup tepung. Fish not fresh. Masakan panas took ages to come, and when it did appear, it was 3/10 at best for the mee celup. The drinks came after a camel died of thirst.

Bawah pokok apa? Mana pokoknya? I did not see a tree.
