Truly very puzzled about all the good reviews here about the doughnut balls. We stopped by for a quick sweet snack while in SS15 - and for a dessert shop that only sells doughnut balls, these were the WORST doughnut balls we ever had in our lives. They were hard and dry outside, very chewy and completely tasteless with a weird funky aftertaste inside. The only taste came from the cinnamon sugar it was tossed in. Honestly have had far better fried doughnut balls at a local mamak store or even in workplace canteen. Maybe there is a quality issue with this particular batch of dough, but lack of/poor quality control is not any acceptable excuse for an eatery that only sells one thing. (If only selling doughnut balls, every single doughnut ball that is served to customers better be the best doughnut ball ever). Unfortunately I will never know if this was just a particular batch that tasted so very off or if ALL the doughnut balls always taste so bad and are simply camouflaged with an abundance sugar and syrup, because I definitely won't be back. I would even go so far as to say this eatery won't be long for this world given the horrible tasting doughnut balls, but hey it looks like plenty of other people had a good experience so maybe we were just very unlucky. Not my first time here, been here a few times prior but it was my first time getting such horrible service from this place.

Yesterday, my friends & i came to get a few types of desserts and the cashier was extremely rude and condescending towards us.

We ordered the doughnut balls and also a plate of waffle & ice cream. When we were trying to pick our flavours, the cashier immediately shut down the flavours i picked and suggested something else - the way he said it as well as his tone was extremely rude and did not reflect good customer service at all. He simply brushed off my choice of sauces & toppings and said that he knew better because he worked there. In his words exactly: “Saya kerja sini saya tahu lah”

I appreciate suggestions when given in nice terms but that was rude and also, when I said I did not want to adhere to his suggestion due to my ice cream choice, he simply said “ice cream letak tepi jadi apa masalah?” I was extremely offended and ended up just agreeing to his suggestions because of how LOUD he was speaking. At the end of the transaction, I asked him to repeat my order and he simply brushed me off with a hand gesture asking me to go. He didn’t even give me a receipt for the purchase even after I asked for it.

For the quality of the food, it’s not worth getting that kind of service & you can definitely get better desserts elsewhere in a crowded place like ss15.
