Modern Food Lab — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

Upon arrival at modern food lab, we were warmly welcomed by the owners. The Interior is very nice and as intended by the owners, very modern. Sadly I think they focused more on the interior then having well seasoned tasty food. We had the chicken chop and the grilled salmon, on the menu it said grilled salmon with mashed potatoes but we got it with fries instead. Not a big issue, if only it was self made fries. One bit into it you could tell that it was bought fries. We didn't even get any type of sauce for it, had to ask the very unmotivated staff worker for chili sauce. The pepper sauce for the chicken chop was more like a sweet and sour sauce, not enough pepper! Also there was barely any sauce in the first place on both chicken chop and salmon. One of our salads was salty, while the other was tasteless. The price for both meals is very expensive and sadly the food doesn't meet the standard it should have for the price. Also they only accept cash, wish that was written somewhere or informed. luckily we had cash with us.

I sadly can't recommend this place rn, I hope they improve...

finally a Chinese kopitiam with great food in this part of puchong!!

ayam berempah is served piping hot, it's huge, juicy and crispy; sambal has an appealing balance of spiciness and saltiness; nasi kunyit tastes a little underwhelming, a stronger hint of turmeric would be perfect.

Jawa mee is another highlight, the gravy has amazing consistency and flavour, easily one of the best in puchong

drinks are nice too, just that the roti baker is very dry :((

service is good and the boss is friendly; price is reasonable as well; parking is super easy; the open air dining space is surprisingly comfortable and not too warm; all in all definitely...

Hidden Gem Food Haven in Puchong right after Puchong Gateway Toll (from Seri Kembangan & Putrajaya). I ordered Homemade Dry Yee Mee (Gan Lao Yee Mee) and that taste was awesome! The owner is also very friendly and we are told that most of his ingredient are all homemade, and the meatball also taste great! Owner did approach us and ask if his food need improvement. Of course, we said please keep the taste as it is, as it is very delicious and wonderful! I ordered one more and share with my friend as I can't stop taking it, terlalu sedapp lah. I'm drooling even now as I am writing this review! Will be coming back again...
