Stumbled across this lovely stall by chance during a weekend in Kajang for a study course. There was no stall name on display at all, just tiny words Almost every Kajang food blog talks about ~90% same shops. I thought wanted to share about this relatively unknown to outsider stall! The owner doesn't even have a Google page:(
Location is right across the famous Kajang Siaw Kah Lat Tong.
There was no stall name on display at all, just tiny words written on the side of the food truck-Anisa Maju. NONE of the food blogs that we googled mentioned anything about this stall!
What caught our attention was the steady stream of locals who come to take away or dine in at this inconspicuous dainty stall.
The uncle and his worker who runs the food truck together are super gentle and kind. It is mentioned they run 3 food trucks in the area, one in Kajang, one in Sg Long area and another at unsure location. All 3 food trucks serve the same food, namely chee cheong fun and tong sui.
The chee cheong fun combined with sweet sauce and fragrant curry sauce, with generous sprinkles of sesame seed, no wonder the customers keep coming. But that's not all. The tong sui is even more outstanding. 4 tong sui were offered today, we tried the foochok barley, buburchacha and a especially nourishing "herbal tea egg"(the usually savory herbal egg, in a sweet version). We missed trying the snow fungus tong sui only cuz our tummies were filled to their limits.
The tong sui is rich but doesn't make you sick, if there is such thing called "wok hei" for tong sui, this would be it! The buburchacha and foochok barley almost a milky texture, with amount of sweetness that is just enough, if too sweet, it would have ruined it for us, we are no sweet tooth at all. The herbal tea egg I tried for the first time and will be happy to order again as well. Such a stall at RM2.80 a bowl of tong sui when you dine-in, RM3.50 per bowl when you take-away (this is fair as uncle needs to use container for you to take-away)!! A HUGE STEAL.
This unassuming food truck. Please try it if you happen to pass by. 11am to 830 pm daily.
Kajang is overall a nice town with nice people and nice foods. I don't appreciate the many tolls on the highway but the food I will definitely be craving for it's foods:))
Waze or Google map Siaw Kah Kajang for the location, see the photo of the Siaw Kah restaurant, this food truck is exactly opposite it. You can have dinner at Siaw Kah then have dessert at Anisa Maju. Chinese name 阿里山猪肠粉和糖水.written on the side of the food truck-Anisa Maju. Non of the food blogs that we googled mentioned anything...
