I would give ZERO STAR if I could. Bad experience at 7.10am 5 months ago. The cashier went haywire and bezerked when a large group of some Datos and Tan Sris (a group of bankers and ex-bankers) came and I was completely ignored for quite a while. I was the 2nd customer after the group. No one else were there except for us. Interestingly, the group of Datos were completely humble and did not ask for any special treatment at all. But they were served, treated like VVIPs. When I finally able to make my order, I asked politely whether I can mix the sates (daging and ayam) as I was eating alone but the cashier CONDESENDINGLY brushed me off. I felt humiliated as she increased her voice and everyone in the restaurant could hear her! I have no choice but to order 2 sets, 1 ayam, 1 daging. The only good thing was one of the kitchen staff politely alerted me of my orders which were ready to be collected at the counter. Yes, the Datos received special treatment with dishes served to their table. Rakyat marhein is just invisible to them. First time here and definitely will be my last time. Doesnt matter how good your food is, treating your customer with respect regardless of status is of the utmost importance. BTW, the sates are not fresh, keras, tasted as if they were frozen for a long time and agreed with one of the past reviewers that the sates are overly sweet as if eating meat candy. Definitely overhyped. Please come if you think you are a VVIP and the restaurant will turn to be a full service restaurant instead of a self...
Read moreI hope this feedback find you well. The food was great how ever I experienced the service to be lacking as many workers were visible during low peak but sadly we received quite poor treatment.
There was no Queue during ordering but it took a long while for the order to be taken. Even when other staffs notice us queuing but nobody notified who ever handle the order taker to entertain us. The only option to pay was QR and Cashless and there was no cash option available.
The food was great how ever during asking for take away I was rudely told that I have to packed it myself. I don’t mind doing the packing but the way that I was told to really irritate me as I was being polite. I would suggest that the order taker can notify before hand that take away is on a self service basis or just politely tell.
Many staff were visible but sadly all were either on their phone or busy talking to each other. I don’t mind if there were on their break but after getting quite a rude treatment I was wondering if there were on their break or simply being lazy and don’t want to be interrupted while doing other business thats not related to work? Not sure but that is how I felt.
Otherwise it would be a great experience as the Roti Kacang Pool taste great and the Nasi lemak tastes nice also the ayam rempah and the environment was clean. For the price spent I wish the service would be a...
Read moreWe were invited by a friend to this restaurant for breakfast, as it’s one of their regular morning spots. The eatery is located at a corner lot within a row of shop houses, making it quite noticeable and easy to find. When we arrived, our friend had already secured a table for us, which was fortunate because there was a line of people waiting, the place was full and bustling with activity.
Ordering is convenient: you can either scan the QR code on the table or walk up to the counter, where you’ll also find a tempting display of traditional kuih. We ordered lontong (both with gravy and dry), soto, mee kari, plus chicken and beef satay. Each dish was satisfying with an authentic taste that brought out the true flavors of local breakfast favorites.
We also couldn’t resist trying their creative take on takeaway, satay cawan (satay in a cup). The design was clever, with two compartments: one for the satay and another for the peanut sauce, keeping everything fresh without turning soggy.
The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, including the washroom. Parking is street-side, so you may need a little patience to find a spot.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience with good food, lively atmosphere, and a smart modern twist on serving satay. Definitely a spot...
