chicken katsu is tasty, tender and toothsome. curry, unusually for japanese incarnation, packs peppery heat. egg is nicely runny, and is nice counterweight to curry.

hainan chicken chop is crunchy and tender in all the correct places. sauce is either tangy yet gentle combination of tomato and chilli. very much per canon.

mee siam is likewise good, in particular belacan fried chicken on side. these folk know how to cook chook.

and also fish. tilapia is tasty and succulent, with nice crisp and crunch on batter. tartar-derived dip adds to flavour.

which is also case for sesame dressing on salad. which is genuinely magnificent garden. with radishes being nicest discovery.

mushroom soup is tick below rest. would be better if shroom represented to same extent as cream. that said, still very much warm...

Service is okay, most of our order came out within reasonable period, but just that one dish that took very long to arrive (we had 4 mains) we thought they forgot to cook it lol... Atmosphere is nice and quiet, and air cond is not too freezing... Their carbonara spaghetti had a flour-like/powdery texture?? feels unusual... And i would like to warn u to NOT put the whole sandwich into your mouth in one bite as they have HIDDEN toothpicks in it... we didn't know and our friend almost got his mouth punctured 😵 so scary... if you can't decide btwn fried chicken chop or grilled chicken chop, i suggest you go for the grilled one becoz we had not much issues with that one lol... definitely got room to...

Seems to be overhyped on Facebook advertisement, in fact, a random check on some of the reviewers, turn out to have 0 reviews previously, rather peculiar.

The food is mediocre, everything seem to be microwaved. The pictures and the actual meals are in stark contrast.

Big breakfast - the oil used has gone rancid, the tomatoe was no good, the dressing for the salad was sweet. The spaghetti - too heavy handed on the sugar. The TomYam - from packaged paste, rather salty. The garlic bread were super salty.

The staffs were ok,...

I really enjoy dining at Starry Cafe—their Western and fusion Asian dishes are both delicious and affordable! The **Chicken Salad** is a great choice for a light, low-calorie meal, while the pastas are a definite crowd-pleaser, especially with kids. One dish that could use some improvement is the **lamb chop**—the meat was a bit too tough to chew. That said, the overall dining experience is pleasant, with a cozy ambience perfect for coffee chats or casual meetups. A solid spot for tasty, budget-friendly meals—would recommend!
