Decided to have a no-frills dinner somewhere near our house in USJ1 Subang Jaya.
My brother ordered Ayam Masak Merah, plain rice with fried egg, while I ordered my fav Nasi Goreng Ladna Seafood. It was my brother's first time, while I have been here before. For him, the food was so-so while for me, I would rate better but not too high, considering the seafood item on my dish (udang & sotong) was not as fresh as I would like.
Total bill including drinks (both ordered Teh-O panas) was RM21 (mine was around RM10) so the quality of food (or lack of it) was countered somewhat by the affordable price. Do not be fooled by the appearance of this place. It might look dark and dreary from the outside but the food here is a lot better than average in terms of taste. Try the Siakap Isi Goreng Dalam ( Fried Sea Bass with generous amounts of Cashew and Dried Chilli) and Tomyam Putih (White Tomyam).
