1 star because we were told we'd have a private table but we didn't when we arrived. We had to sit with 2 other couples and 2 other people that were just friends. We both wanted what we thought would be the most romantic dinner in our lives while watching all the fish swim around.
The guys to my right were a fun loving and great conversationalist gay couple who were on their honeymoon. The couple to my left were extremely rude to us (we believe because we were American). The ladies on the end were just very weird and extremely loud ruining a lot of the ambiance.
In an effort not to be miserably awkward, we participated in conversation with the gay couple for three hours instead of romantically gazing into each other's eyes and sharing in tremendous excitement of all the sharks going by. As always, we made the best of it.
I did complain multiple times as the $1,000 dinner was not what we were promised but no one cared; even the manager the next morning. Usually Hilton takes very good care of us but they definitely dropped the ball on this one.
It was still amazing to be there though, I am 100% grateful. Please don't get me wrong, I'm just sharing our truth. It was good and quite thrilling to do. We recommend it but only if you know exactly the seating arrangements and...

Ithaa Undersea Restaurant at Rangali Island, Maldives.
Ithaa Undersea Restaurant is among a few of the world’s underwater restaurants. It was rated by the New York Daily News as the most beautiful restaurant in the world.
Ithaa, located 16 feet below sea level, first opened its doors in 2005 and is famous for being the world's first all-glass underwater restaurant.
The structure, which weighs 75 tons, was made on dry land in Singapore before being transported by ship and carefully dropped into the ocean with an additional 80 tons of sand ballast to help it sink. The cost of building the restaurant was approximately $5 million.
The aquarium-style underwater eatery is surrounded by all types of sea life. There you can enjoy a 270-degree panoramic view of tropical fish — and no, you don't need to bring your scuba gear.
One catch: It only seats 14 people, so make your reservations in advance.

They offer champagne/ mocktails along with canapés for approx USD 140 per adult, for our child (5 years), it was free.
The price is paid for the unique experience ithaa offers rather than the food.
We opted for a vegetarian platter. It had a samosa, polenta & tomato, bread, cheese with fig & caper berry and sushi. They tasted great.
No separate options are available for kids, they offer the same mocktail & canapés platter for the kids, too.
We wanted to do a small photo shoot for our anniversary, and we were accommodated by letting us take it crowd free before the restaurant opened for service. We spoke about this earlier with Conrad, and it wasn't a last-minute thing.
Small fishes were swimming around in the surrounding reef. And an occasional sighting of a shark or two. After the new government rule stating not to feed the sharks, there aren't many seen, like in the earlier pictures...
