I loved my meal at the Sunset Grill. I abhor dinner after the sunset though because it is difficult to enjoy the view. This counts for all of the restaurants as dinner begins at 7 and the sun sets at 7:15 pm. TIP: If you love a gorgeous view, and don’t mind the sun, try to enjoy for lunch. Fortunately, we had the glow of the Pink Moon this evening.
Service - top notch. Azra is always a pleasure and she provides excellent recommendations and a delightful conversation.
Meal - Appetizer - Calamari (delicious), while the infamous Seafood Bisque left way too much to be desired. Honestly, it’s bland. For a place so close to India and in the middle of the Indian Ocean I expected better seafood bisque. This is the point for the negative star. My grill platter with the sirloin, mixed veggies and truffle mashed potatoes was so scrumptious. I asked for the trio of accompaniment sauces and I liked all of them. I was clearly too full because I wasn’t able to finish my meal. While the restaurant offered to-go there was no recommendation or options shared on reheating my meal. And I’m taking half of my meal. I had lunch today and I just wasn’t as hungry at dinner at I usually am.
Ambiance - There are coral under and around the venue that allowed us to view multiple fish and sharks under and near our table. It was an entertaining sight during the evening as the beautiful glow from the restaurant abounds.

Read moreWonderful restaurant and great service. The location is absolutely beautiful set beside the Ithaa underwater restaurant. The best meal we’ve had here so far but unfortunately we were too full still from lunch to order the grilled seafood platter. The cauliflower was delicious as a starter. Our lobster came undercooked so they took it back to cook longer and sadly it came back a little over cooked. The sharks and fishes were a delight to watch while we...
