I know I said I could not care less about the owner's reply, and it is the case, but I'd like to clarify one thing. Say you are a customer and the waiter tried to push on you a 68€ meat board that you clearly and repeatedly refused. You ordered sausages (for 13€) and a steak (for 29€). Then you received cut steak and sausages on a board. You are confused and want to make sure whether your order was respected, you ask the waiter (which I confirm that he is an arnaqueur and a menteur) and he says he's "100% sure" this was your order. What do you do? Well, you trust the waiter and guess that it is just a presentation matter because the steak and sausages are there. Now say you are the owner and the customer, who actually insisted to pay what he did not order because he does not need a favour from any arnaqueur, brought this to your attention, what do you do? Well, if you are a true businessman that cares about his customers, you will listen to the customer and try to understand. And if you are an arnaqueur, you'd treat them like garbage and expell them from your "restaurant". I have not tried to pay less, I would have done so when your head of arnaqueurs put the 50€ instead on the credit card reader. It is not a matter of money, it is a matter of dishonesty, arnaque, disrespect and total ignorance with regard of how to treat a client. I did not think I would have to explain this, but the lack of logical reasoning and the extent to which you have nothing to do with running a business in your reply is appalling. Below is my original review.
Arnaques et mensonges. I ate at this restaurant one time and I liked it so I went again today. The older waiter tried hard to push a 68€ meat board on us but we refused, we ordered instead a steak and a sausage for 42€. The waiter brought a board with steak and sausage altogether so we were confused, we asked him if he was sure that's what we ordered and he said "100%". It turns out that was the 68€ meat board that he tried to push on us, as confirmed by the bill. When I confronted him he put "50€" on the credit card reader and said "don't come again". I asked him to put the whole amount because I don't need a favour from him, and did pay what I have not ordered in the first place, and of course I wouldn't come again. Then the "boss", I guess the boss "des arnaqueurs", came to tell me that his waiter is "right" and this "never happened before". I did tell the "boss" that I'd leave a negative review, he said "do and wait for my reply", and I'm hereby confirming what I told him: I was there, I know what happened so I could not care less about your reply. Irrespectueux, menteurs...
Read moreAwesome experience on all aspects. The place is cosy, with warm and well thought decor, and just the right amount of lighting without being overbearing. The host, Mark, was truly welcoming. He gave us a short overview of the types of meat they serve, whilst actually showing us the meat on display. He clearly knows his trade, loves his work, and makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed immediately. This applies to the staff too - clearly they are very well trained! Last but not least - the food. Truly up there with the very best! I had a very unusual Himalayan Tagliata, whilst my partner tried the burger - amazingly juicy patty and unusually large. But most of all seared outside - just right! As if this was not enough, they also served the most perfectly cooked veg I ever had in my life - freshly chopped, well cooked yet crunchy - just perfect! And finally, Mark insisted we try their caramelised apple dessert -freshly prepared. This could be a tv chef competition winning dessert! So truly a very positive experience - Lucky Goose will become one of our favourite places - we...
Read moreThe food presented is too expensive for what you get. A small meat steak served by itself on a plate with a side dish of lettuce and two cherry tomatoes should not cost €28... Overall I saw that the portions presented on our table were too small for the price menu. We all took a main course special of the day, not the "tapas". The meat was nothing special. I specifically requested that the side salad must not have any onion or garlic as I will feel sick. The waiter assured me that it does not have any. Unfortunately, I had to pick out the pieces of raw onion from my salad. I was the only one having salad on my table, so it must not have been a mistake. The spoken English of the waiters is not very good, often unintelligible. I have mixed feelings about the place, and whether it should be given another chance. If the prices are reasonably lowered, the restaurant has the potential to attract more customers. There were too many empty tables throughout the...
