Bulgogi Brothers — Restaurant in Ta' Xbiex

Tried this place out for the first time today.

I ordered the original beef bulgogi with an extra fried egg (1 euro) for 14 euro. I got this through wolt, and my driver was completing an order before me, but despite the waiting time (attributed to wolt and not Bulgogi brothers by any means) the food was warm and kept well.

Firstly, the kimchi was delicious, not spicy and nice and pungent. The rice was sticky just how i liked it. The beef, very tender. They also added some black fungus mushrooms which were cooked very well and i thought paired greatly with the dish. The egg was also quite runny and cooked well. I also think it is well priced for what you get.

The only criticism i have was that the food needed some more salt or umami flavour (but this may be my salty taste buds). Maybe some more sauce. The sauce also needed a slight element of acidity in my opinion, especially if you mix it wth the rice.

However after adding some salt i really enjoyed this lunch and i would order again. Well done and keep up...

Due to a malfunction in our kitchen we had to order Wolt instead of what we had planned for dinner. My boyfriend ended up choosing the Bulgogi Brothers on Wolt, we saw it at a foodtruck festival and at the Ta’ Xbiex Marina when walking our dog recently. It was a really good decision. Not only was the food delicious, the price was also very good and we received a decent portion. My boyfriend had the Mechado and I had the Korean Crispy Pork Belly. Both were great but the Crispy pork belly was both our favourite, unlike any pork dish we had before, my boyfriend kept trying to steal the pork belly haha, he doesn’t like pork belly usually. It was very flavourful, so well cooked, not dry at all thanks to the melted fatty pieces in between the meat. We were very impressed and have found our new go to place on Wolt!

The food at Bulgogi Brothers is just brilliant , very tasty , always fresh , made with love by the owner 😁😁. The food truck is in an immaculate condition , spotless , as we sometimes order delivery and occasionally we visit the food truck and eat it on spot . One other good point about the B&B is that they have large portions , in fact we have never manage to eat all of it therefore we reheat it the day after , would want to mention also that the containers are an excellent quality and can be used to microwave the food , the containers do not let any liquid or food to pass through it and it keeps in nice and hot . It tastes even better the day after also😁. They also provide either chopsticks or forks together with napkins .
