I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem in Mauritius, and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant offers an authentic taste of local cuisine, prepared with care and bursting with flavor. Each dish felt like a celebration of Mauritian culture, blending spices and fresh ingredients to perfection.
Their rum-based cocktails are simply divine! Creative, refreshing, and expertly crafted, they perfectly complement the meal and add to the island vibe. It's clear the team takes great pride in showcasing the best of Mauritius' legendary rum.
The ambiance is another highlight. The place exudes coziness, with warm lighting and charming decor that instantly makes you feel at home. Whether you're visiting for a special occasion or just want a laid-back meal, it sets the perfect mood.
What truly stood out was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Their passion for hospitality shines through, making you feel genuinely welcomed.

Read moreWe cannot recommend this place. Food was less than mediocre, paired with unorganized service. We waited for a long time until somebody came to take our order. Then the same for the courses, looong waiting times. When the food was finally delivered to us they didn't bring cuttlery and were too much in stress to see it. The organization can definitely be improved. Same for the furniture, the tables are instable as they seem to stand in dead corals and the chairs are so uncomfortable that you don't know how to sit on them, cause every position hurts. The food was okay but not great, especially the rice was just bland. The creole sauce thought was so intensly overflavoured with spices you were not able to taste whether there is Chicken, Beef, Lamb or whatever inside it. The starters were good though. Furthermore the restaurant is directly at a high traffic street, it was hard to understand each other. Looking at the previous responses to negative comments I highly recommend to take this critisism constructively and optimize these points that have already been raised by...
Read moreWe went for a late lunch during their winter so it was quiet and very easily accessible for us with parking opposite. The restaurant setup is beautiful as described with a lovely seaside view.
We had sugarcane for drinks (option with or without alcohol) and had best Calamari we had on the island for starters, followed by Beef Salmi & Octopus in Creole sauce for mains - both tasted so authentic, flavourful and super delicious!!
Also hands down served the best chilli sauce we had in this region & island!! Milly, thank you for packing up my chilli sauce for me and your tip on how I can make it at home! You provided such a polite and friendly service & we really enjoyed chatting with you!
Without hesitation would come back to have a taste of...
