China Palace — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

Avoid at all cost! I've been to a lot of restaurant and this one, was the worst of them. First, the restaurant had no water left to serve us. NO WATER!! What kind of restaurant doesn't have water? 15 mins in, most of us didn't receive any utensils and napkins on our table that we joined together since we were a pretty big group. Drinks were served after 20 mins and WE were the one who had to get up and ask them for some. Didn't have any sauce for the squid unless we asked for it. The fried rice had 7 PIECES of beef on it (yes we did count), rice was slightly burned and we were barely getting served all night (other tables around us were constantly getting service, mostly tourists). The waiters looked like they were bored outta their mind and looked like they were bothered by our presence. I know it seems like i'm exaggerating but this is EXACTLY how our supper went on. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone and do not expect to get any...

BAD. BAD. BAD and bad. It was my son’s birthday and we decided to celebrate his birthday over there and I thought that the restaurant would be okay as the reviews are decent. Boy was I wrong, the service was ABSURD we had to wait over 30 minutes for our meal and yet I’ve seen other customers who came earlier had already gotten theirs. However the food was nice but please fix your waiting time because clearly waiting for 30+ minutes is very much unprofessional. As if that wasn’t bad enough, there was other birthday nearby and THEY used our candles to the other people. We TOLD them it’s ours and they should’ve been responsible for keeping it. This made my son broke down in tears and felt disappointed. If you’re someone who cannot control your temper or impatient then I DO not recommend this...

It's a very unpleasant situation where you have to wait for a long time to arrive. The pekingese duck was cold and instead of it being cut in our presence it was done in the kitchen resulting in arriving to our table cold when asked to heat it was like overcooked. The spring onion were not well cleaned up as there were still some dirt on. We order a seafood platter and after 2 hrs we were asked we have to wait again when we said we would cancel the manager was rude. No smile not even a apology from him and also said that they were late becausethey were attendingother customers as we were not customes.
