The pictures shown on the menu and Google for this place are false. The butter chicken and the paneer butter masala should be called water chicken and paneer cooked in a microwave because they're honestly a joke. The cook also has an attitude and would be dismissive and left out my order completely only to argue with me that I wouldn't be able to eat that much and I had to argue with him to order the item on the menu. The pictures in the restaurant honestly should be updated or a better cook should be hired because you expect to get proper food but in the end get terrible food with prices that are unjust. The reason for a 2 star service instead of 1 is because the owner seemed quite nice but that's all this places deserves right now because honestly it's unjust for it to get anymore when it presents itself incorrectly for abyssmal food. I left as soon as possible because of how terrible and angry this place made me feel. I hope they improve though. A few improvements would be to start cooking butter chicken so it's not watery and actually has butter in it and not using a microwave because everything make their felt like it was cooked in a microwave and the naan was raw in the middle. Roadside shops sell chicken curry (that tastes better and has quadruple the chicken) for half the price of this shop with rice and salad too. This place only gave 4 pieces of chicken for 425 mru (the prices on the menu on Google are wrong too and are unjust). Until that's fixed it's just a mistake to eat here. Even walking 5km further to another place...

Having recently visited this Indian restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food was decent, but the overall setting and ambiance left a lot to be desired. The restaurant's decor and furnishings felt quite dated and in need of some renovation. The chairs were worn and uncomfortable, and the overall setting had a tired, old-fashioned vibe. The food itself was reasonably good. I enjoyed the flavors and spices in the dishes I tried. However, I didn't find the cuisine to be particularly outstanding or memorable, especially given the prices. The portion sizes were decent, but the naan bread was quite small, so I ended up having to order more than I had anticipated to feel satisfied. I think the owners would benefit from investing in some renovations and updates to modernize the space and make it feel more welcoming. I'm not sure I would rush back, as there are likely other Indian restaurants in the area that offer a more polished and enjoyable...

AVOID! I can't believe the rip off price 500mur for literally single spoon of fish in the fish curry. See picture. This is a whole new level of tourist trap business. Very dishonest business practice. Absolutely avoid - two other nearby restaurants much better Le Mediterranean (fresh seafood) and Refresh (good value). We thought we'd try here final day meal because of the rain but this is just a really bad practice and Im sure they will go out of business when so flagrantly taking advantage of customers. No wonder they are empty every day we walked past for 2 weeks. "curry" sauce tastes like tin tomato sauce, no spice no heat no flavour. Super U take out is 100 times better and about 1/5th the price. Edit: There may be two locations with the same name adjacent. This review is for the green small hut with the same name as the corner restaurant called kingfisher,...

We ate here twice during our stay. Quite a lovely restaurant! Mauritian cuisine is quite mild so if you prefer your food a bit more spicy, I recommend asking for your food to be hot. From mine and my party’s experience, we would recommend the Paneer Butter Masala, Garlic Naan, the Crab Soup and the Chicken Lollipops. We also really enjoyed the Gulab Jamun but be warned, it is dangerously sweet! They lost a star because the Lassi and Cocktails could be improved. I also think we were given less Naan than we ordered (5 of us ordered Naan but there was only 6 pieces of Naan in each basket which does not equate to 5 full Naans). There is also an old man at the restaurant who may be the owner but doesn’t do much besides scowl and cough a lot. He didn’t even cover his mouth while coughing which was quite gross.
