Unfortunately the quality in this place has gone down, not only in the food they offer but also in the staff who answer the phone specifically. Instead of offering dishes that show weight and its price on their menu, they limit themselves to only showing the price and this causes the portions not to have a specific measure or weight. I have been a customer of this place for a couple of years and the "large" portions vary so much that they are "medium" or "small", but you do not realize until you have paid and open the containers, where they are not full and with different flavors. Likewise, I was unlucky enough to pick up an order (the last one and never again), where their "large" portion of Spaghetti was very light in weight and to my surprise, the pasta was dry, like the one you keep for later or the next day. Likewise with large salads with less content, but with the same or increasing prices. The fact of changing chefs greatly affects the taste and the ingredients that are chosen. Finally, add that it is useless to complain, since they become defensive and do not listen to you, they are closed to the fact that what they are doing is good and they do not see beyond that, they do not see the way to improve. They indirectly insult you as if you are a new customer and have never bought from them before. My wife and I had dinner for Valentine’s Day last night. I must say this place is an absolute must go to if you are in Tijuana. The service is top notch. Servers are friendly and on point. The owner is a true gentleman that takes time (even during a rush) to talk and greet his customers and make them feel welcomed. My wife had the Arrabiata. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very pleasing bite after bite. I am more of a pasta guy than my wife us and she absolutely loved it just as much as I did! I had the pleasure of enjoying the Filete de Gargonzola…. THIS!!!! Was truly amazing. The sauce was not over powering to the steak. The perfect contribution to the dish. The roasted tomatoes that come with it are cooked to perfection (I will say that seems to not be an easy task in most restaurants but here….. perfect) it also comes with a rendition of potatoes that I will say you simply just have to try. We had a reservation for 6:30pm, when we arrived the table was not ready and we had to wait 20 minutes outside in the cold. Once we were seated, waited another 10 minutes before anyone approached our table. They did not have half the bourbon bottles on the menu to make a decent old fashioned(Jack Daniels? Really?) I had to substitute Woodford for the Jack Daniels the house uses. A less expensive option to Jack Daniels. On the bill I was charged for the drink plus the Woodford(double billed) even though it is less expensive per shot on their menu then the Jack Daniels they use.
