Benazuza — Restaurant in Cancún

THE ABSOLUTE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE if I could rate this restaurant with minus stars I absolutely would. The food was inedible. Two of the courses smelled so strong of canned dog food I gagged when they arrived. It would be an incredibly nice touch if they had paper napkins to spit this garbage into. My husband made this reservation a week in advance and informed them that it was our anniversary. Other than some rose petals sprinkled on the table AFTER we had began eating absolutely ZERO effort was made to make our night special. Like really not even a chocolate sauce Happy Anniversary on a plate. Nothing. The manager is a chump. Literally quit your job you suck. It was so clear that we hated every course as we could not even bare to swallow the miniscule bite size courses. Instead of being a man and addressing the issue he made himself scarce the entire meal. It was not until he brought the bill that he asked. And I told him what I wrote here. He laughed. I said no seriously I'm not happy. His response "okay well thank you for coming here is the bill". So unprofessional. Anyone who has given this restaurant 5 stars I'm convinced is being paid or is related to someone at the restaurant. As I walked out from a complete waste of a night not to mention a milestone ruined I got a high five from another guest for my comments. 4 other tables were completely unimpressed as well. This restaurant should be shut down. And I will do my part to ensure that I working in the tourism industry make sure no one ever makes the same mistake we did. DO NOT WASTE A SECOND OF YOUR...

I had to write a review because this restaurant is the best restaurant I have ever been to in my life. Now that being said I come from a background of cultured taste and I have travelled to 18 countries. I like unique foods, enjoy trying new tastes and ...not a whole lot of food I dont like. Every course at this restaurant is unique and artistic. If you need to know what everything is, if you are a beef and potato ...basic taste kinda person, if you are affraid of trying new things... Just dont go please!!!!. It is a restaurant of fine food and I hate listening to the uncultured being so clueless. If you are not gona be excited to taste each dish your vibe blows... This is a gucci style restaurant of the food world. The food trully blows your mind!. And...

Benazuza is quite literally the best food I’ve ever tasted. In April we came to visit and experienced the tasting menu which was an absolute dream come true! Our waiter Emilio made us feel so very welcome as well. The ambiance from the moment you walk in the door sets the mood for a meal to remember.

We loved it so much we planned our next trip back and dined at Benezuza again 5 and a half months later. The menu has changed a little but equally amazing!! We were blessed to get to meet the head chef Ignazzio who raved over his wonderful team. From Emilio’s familiar smile and welcome to our wonderful waiter, Jafet, this somehow made for an even better evening than I remembered.
