While exploring Market 28 in Cancun—a lively tourist spot filled with handicrafts and souvenirs—we were hoping to find a place that offered more than just the usual tourist fare. That’s when we came across La Patrona, and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for.
This charming little restaurant delivered on all fronts: authentic Mexican flavors, welcoming vibes, and genuinely kind staff. Even though English isn’t their first language, the team went out of their way to help us understand the menu and make us feel at home—and we really appreciated that effort.

I had the Enchildas de Mole which were really good. If this was not my last day in town, I would...
