:) The hotel facilities were good, it had a pool and an open area for breakfast. Room was excellent, it was overly spacious, air con was working perfectly, bathroom was big and comfortable. Location was near downtown area, and staff worked 24/7. One of the staff members, who worked mainly in the evenings, and the manager (of course) caught our eyes. The male staff member I referred to was always smiling, happy to talk to guests, spoke excellent English, and new its business as he was able to provide us with good tips of the city and sort all other queries that we had. ||:( Shower head was the poorest ever. For those who like to shower, it may not be a good experience as water ran in drops. Spotted a stalactite falling off the ceiling above the toilet in need of repair. Breakfast shouldn't even be a meal on its own in this hotel as options were very limited (and low quality). For example, juices, fruits, and yogurts were difficult to eat (juice did not look good, fruits were of one or two types and seemed rotten, yogurts were a scarce item). Coffee was terrible - worse than tea. I couldn't drink it. Can't they brew coffee from an Arabic grounded source? Come on, it's Latin America! Other than this, you could ask for freshly cooked eggs every morning, but still it needed a bit of refinement (scrambled eggs looked smashed actually, pan looked old and full of dark crusts, and too oily - bad type of oil). One staff lady was not always happy to answer queries, could not give interesting tips about things to do in the city, and seemed unwilling to be available all the time for any issue. I was wondering if giving tips would solve this issue.... Obviously, it's not a place which the wealthiest go to. Also, there is no car park at this hotel. It is so far (40 min bus) from the hotel zone that those people willing to rent a car just can't do it because the hotel does not has space for cars (one needs to park at the sidewalk, which is too risky). If you do not know the rules of public parking,...
Read moreWorst hotel ever possible, dont come here, dont waste your money and time!
They charged us 30 usd more because we paid with card and didn’t have enough mexican pesos. When you try to pay cash in USD they give you are a ratio of 15 mexican pesos for 1 USD whereas most exchanges do it for 16.6 and the central rate is 17. They were trying to make money based on exchange rates even though they are just hotel. So we paid card with 30$ extra because of “commission” as it was cheaper then paying in USD cash because with the rate they were giving us we needed to pay like 60$ extra than the price in booking which is crazy.
For our 4 day stay we didint meet a single person working there who speaks English. So discussing the above mentioned situation took us an hour with Google translate with the “receptionist”.
Breakfast is beyooooooond terrible. They charged extra for breakfast for the following things: terrible cheap coffee, bow of (2 types) cereal and toast. That’s it. Everything else was extra. The kitchen was disgusting as you can see some of the dye on the walls were falling and it was so dirty.
Some of the days we didint even have a housekeeper clean our room and you have to go to ask for a new towels yourself.
We rent a room with jacuzzi which was so dirty when we arrived it was disgusting.
They lock the parking after 11 pm and close the door and you have to go through the whole hotel to find someone to open the parking lot for you.
None of these things were mentioned in advance: get mexican pesos so we get overcharged, tell us about the...
Read moreThis property had bugs all over it. In the room there were termites crawling from the walls on the bed the sheets were disgusting and it was very uncomfortable I booked my reservation for three nights and chose to leave after the first night. The manager of the hotel was DISGUSTINGLY RUDE AND KEPT INSINUATING THAT BECAUSE I PAID THE PRICE FOR THE ROOM I SHOULD JUST DEAL WITH IT. Absolutely disrespectful they upgraded my room 3 times in one day and even though the room got better in size it also increased in bugs. We couldn’t even keep our bags on the counters we had to leave them in the middle of the room. Absolutely disgusting. Not only do they not try to give you a refund but the sheets were dirty and the towels felt like your rubbing your skin with 30 year old carpet or a sander. I highly recommend you do not stay here. It’s NASTY. The manager is NASTY AND IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST HOTEL STAYS OF MY LIfe. The manager didn’t even care that the hotel had termites he just kept blaming me and trying to get me to still pay for the room because he was more concerned about paying a commission to Booking.com. And after I told him how uncomfortable I was he tried to force me to stay. Saying I’ll deal with it In the morning l. Now I don’t know about you but why am I going to stay somewhere where I am clearly uncomfortable....
