Dear owner of Hotel suites Gaby,
I do hope you'll see this, I traveled all the way down from Scotland to visit cancun and booked your hotel before hand. I got to your hotel on the 28th of April, the receptionist on duty around 4pm that day was extremely rude, I gave her my ID for photocopy. I wanted to pay and I offered to add my breakfast money to my payment since it was stated on my booking app, that I can make payment at the property.
She started insulting me that she is not in charge of breakfast and if I want a breakfast option, I should cancel my reservations and choose a breakfast option and I politely told her to read what is on the App, and if she's aware and understand what BREAKFAST OPTION AVAILABLE, PAY AT THE PROPERTY means? She flared up immediately asking me why i have to be questioning her, in an instance, she returned my original ID and the photocopied one and told me to leave because I, as a customer was rude to her.
I find this very bizarre, could you check if this receptionist is fine please.
In my over 150 stays worldwide, this is the first time I will see a receptionist who is not the owner of the hotel SIT down comfortably without even standing to attend to an international customer and rudely telling them to go and book somewhere else. If this is a 5 star hotel, I would totally understand, but for a 3 star hotel with no WIFI, I still couldn't wrap my head around it.
Finding somewhere else was not the issue but the fact that I was worn out from the travel stress coupled with the fact that I was beaten by the rain and my bags and clothes were wet and I just wanted to relax.
This is strange.
I strongly do not recommend this hotel to any international traveler visiting from abroad especially Africans. Trust me on...

The area is not made for tourists. However, we did not hold this against the hotel as we knew this before we arrived. ||||We were, however, appalled by the customer service offered. Upon arrival after an early flight, we spent more than an hour arguing with reception about whether we had a booking. Despite telling the receptionist, Rebecca, multiple times that we had not booked through the website she kept searching, she continuously told us we were wrong - despite having an email confirming our booking. ||||After more than an hour, a supervisor arrived who found our booking in minutes. No apology was offered by Rebecca who instead laughed at us. The supervisor did offer us a free coffee to apologise for the inconvenience but upon arrival to the kitchen we were told there’d be a 20 minute wait for hot water. Once our coffee finally arrived, we found dead cockroaches under the table. ||||The final straw was when we entered the bathroom and found it was very dirty. Read moreTHE WORST HOTEL I HAVE STAYED IN 1 The name says “suites” well they are NOT they are a tiny room literally. 2 The second and night staff were horrible they had no type of customer service always gave us attitude. 3 They will charge you for a a towel if there’s a stain on it $158 pesos and your not allowed to take it out of the hotel otherwise there will also be a fee.
But the worst part was they will argue with you over a towel in my personal experience the towel had a stain from my hair dye I did not know the sea water would take the dye out. So this B.... literally told me “ here you wash it and return it to us clean otherwise you pay it” when it’s on the rules that’s the towels are specially for the use of the body and that’s just what I did, now they do not give you a do not disturb sign for your door so at 8am they will be knocking to clean your room.
Now I do want to clearify the guy that helps with luggage he’s awesome and the other receptionist skinner with glasses. But the rest pure trash and attitude. Would not recommend and would not stay there...
