Taqueria Los Chachalacos — Restaurant in Cancún

After eating I wanted to pay. The waitress who served me was busy at another table for over 20 minutes. She looked at me a few times but ignored my waiting. She finished with the customers, then suddenly she was gone. I then called her colleague and waited another 15 minutes. She then arrived with a false bill instead of 156 pesos it said 370 pesos. I said that's not my calculation but she said it is yours. I sad two more times no, i can’t drink seven beers then she said sorry and walked away with the money and spoke with the first waitess. Almost 10 minutes later, another man brought me the remaining money back in small coins without comment and gones away . Avoid the store if you don't want to wait over 45 minutes to pay with...

Think tough tortillas and chewy pastor, funny sauce containers that spill all over, expensive prices, loud crass reggaeton videos playing non-stop on TV and poor service. That’s what this place is/ was for us. Our waiter got our order wrong or the cook forgot about it, twice. We saw them argue and push the plate at each other Christ above! of all the nice places one can go for food in cancun I would not waste my time nor money here. If you are in the surrounding try instead the Costelao, about a block away it will blow your mind. I always feel a little overwhelmed by the choice at this restaurant, but overall I can say that no matter which option you choose, you can hardly go wrong as everything is pretty delicious.

My personal highlights are the guacamole, the cheese & chorizo and also the quesadillas (although smaller than expected) are always included in my order. I can only recommend everyone to try the cocktails as well, as they are very tasty and affordable.

I also recommend ordering extra pico de gallo because it never goes wrong.

The churros as dessert were also yummy.
