El Mesón del Taco — Restaurant in Chiapas

I was in San Cristobal last year and my friend, the owner of Hostal Casa Gaia, brought me to El Meson del Taco and I was in taco heaven. For 100 pesos you get a huge plate of meat, as many tortillas as you can handle and loads of side garnishments!

I’m just returned to San Cristóbal and this was one of my first stops back in this town and I still love it! Big portions, friendly staff, open kitchen where you can see everything being cooked and handmade. Super yum to the extreme! Will definitely be coming back!!

This is a local Mexican restaurant. Even though it is placed a bit away from town center, it is very well visited by both locals and some tourists.

The tacos tastes just awesome, prices are low and the service is very fine indeed. We ordered pastor tacos and gringas combo which quickly arrived at our table. Tasting the food you quickly realize why this restaurant is so popular...we had a great time visiting..

I feel like most people saying that this tacos are delicious haven’t tried good Mexican tacos. Pastor tacos don’t have much flavor, chorizo neither and on top of that it was burn not even handmade tortillas can save this tacos. I would give 1 star if it wasn’t because our waiter was nice.
