Amazing Cooking Class Mais: Last Tuesday I had the chance to take a cooking class with Hiram and Paty (mother and son), and wow — what an amazing experience! If you want to learn how traditional Mexican dishes are made from scratch, this is the place to go for an unforgettable afternoon! And also everything was really hygienic and clean, so important.

I learned so much about food in Mexico. Did you know there are dozens of types of corn here? I made my own tortillas from maíz blanco, and we turned them into tacos and empanadas. One of the things I really wanted to learn was how to make mole sauce — and I did, together with Paty! It had four different types of chili and even chocolate. We also made corn cake, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious!

After 2,5 hours of cooking, we sat down together and enjoyed everything we made, along with some lovely drinks and pox (a local spirit). 🫶🏻

All the vegetables we used came from the mountains around San Cristóbal, and everything was prepared by hand. It truly was a magical afternoon, and I’m so thankful for the experience.

I highly recommend this to anyone visiting San Cristobal. Hiram, Paty, and Rosie — thank you for such a warm and inspiring day. You made my trip so much more meaningful! Although I am not vegetarian, this cookings without meat...

La calidad de la atención es muy buena, el área de comensales limpia. La comida rica, aunque no cuentan con sanitarios adecuados para el restaurante. Todo estaba bien hasta que en la tarde me empecé a sentir sumamente mal, me dio temperatura, vómito y diarrea. Fue la última comida de mi día, a partir de ahí no comí absolutamente nada.
