We dined here Monday, September 5th around 4 pm. This is honestly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. My husband and I were really excited to try Chapa Prime for the first time. We were looking forward to a fun night and hopefully amazing food. Even upon arriving, we were happy to get a table without a reservation and could smell the aroma of steak. We were just really looking forward to our experience here. Things started fine. We were greeted and sat, and were immediately served some chicharones with salsa. We ordered drinks and received them generally quickly. We then ordered guacamole and another round of drinks that would arrive with our meals. The guacamole never came, but our entrees did, without our drinks. We waited for a glass of wine and an old fashioned. The waiter was nonexistent. My husband was able to flag down a young man named Victor, who apologized and told us he’d put our drink order in for us (as in it was never put in and neither was the guacamole). We ended up cancelling the appetizer, since our main courses had already arrived. Our waters were never re-filled and no one paid us any mind at all, other than Victor. The drinks arrived. The wine was correct, but my husbands drink was very far from an old fashioned. It was a pink cocktail covered in tajin. All of the staff, other than Victor was extremely neglectful and borderline rude. I witnessed the staff simply standing around chit chatting while we were sitting idle, waiting for anyone to look our way and help us. About 10 minutes later we receive our drinks and I see the coordinator walk past us and roll his eyes at us. We never sparked a complaint at all, or gave a reason for the staff to be annoyed by us, and we were polite to all staff, even after the coordinator rolled his eyes at us. As far as I know, we never gave any reason for staff to give us attitude. We are typically very understanding of busy staff, however it was not busy and I am not okay with outright rudeness. The tacos and drinks were delicious (even though one drink was wrong, it still tasted good so we didn’t complain), the pasta was mediocre, the dessert was good, but the service is absolutely unforgivable. This is the first review I’ve ever left on a business’s google page. I mean this with all sincerity, this is the absolute, without question, worst dining experience we have ever had and we will never be back. The man named Victor was given a generous tip because he was the only person to pay us any mind throughout the entire night. Food was also quite pricey, considering the portion size, although most of it was delicious. I could usually look past portions and price if it weren’t for the staff’s attitude. What an utter disappointment. Thank you, Victor, for being the only person to treat us like...
Read moreArrival: We arrived at the restaurant and waited for 20 minutes to be seated at a table that was still not ready for a party of 8. The hostess definitely was not up to par with the restaurant. The servers were quick to fix the situation adding another table to make sure we could sit comfortably. I noticed other larger tables available which I assumed were reserved but we spent 3 hours at the restaurant and they were never filled.
Service: Our servers were attentive and did their best to inform us of the menu, but fell short when estimating the wait times. I assume if you come here it’s a minimum of 1 hour wait for any food you order.
Food: I ordered a medium rare steak cowboy and got a medium which was already cut into strips I also order a pulpo al las brasas, I immediately said what is this “pulpo a la cenizas” it was over cooked and tough with no flavor. We ordered an app which was the camarón en salsa negra which was good.
Overall the experience was offset due to restaurant’s ambiance and drinks. The wait, flavor, and quality of the food for the price didn’t match. I recommend avoiding this restaurant. I was told the other location...
Read moreI don’t know where to begin! I’ve been here at Cuidad Juarez for a couple of weeks and have been to this amazing restaurant almost everyday. Started off checking it out by having a cocktail at the bar with Giovanny. He made delicious craft cocktails. Came back the same night with my sister and Had bites at the bar and service by Joanna. Very pleasant girl! Then we came for dinner w the family. Great steaks! I had the Irish coffee made tableside! Wow! The manager made it and it was a great experience! We have come to their brunch 4 times and every time it’s amazing and they change the menu around some! Their cheddar burger was huge and juicy! The shrimp coctel was my mom’s fave! Sandra one of the managers told us about their empanadas and has some sent over for us to try. The restaurant is clean, beautiful decorated and everyone u come in contact with is happy and helpful. The craft cocktails are delightful! We had a few desserts and I think my fave was the chocolate cake abuelita. Ooooh can’t forget about the fresh juices too! Beets Carrot and orange is what I get! Do yourself a favor when in this area and come visit...
